Travel plans for Saturday

Mrs M wants to come to go to some art gallery or some such malarkey, so probably we’ll get there early and nip into the centre for lunch first. From what I’m reading, Uxbridge, Hillingdon or Ickenham is the favourite. I assume there will be extortionately priced beers available in the ground.

That made me smile. „Sounds like a plan dear 😳!“

No alcohol being sold in the ground I believe.

Oh ffs.

Nothing to even calm the spirit and we have to be in an hour before ko? I’d better take my knitting.

It's an option for people but be aware the last bus back from Wembley is 6pm. Extra time and penalties makes that a tough one...

I’m sure they will allow for that Phil, the coaches are specific to Swans supporters for the match. They are not going to leave without their passengers. They will allow some extra time if the match is extended. They are basically being run like supporters coaches. They will eventually leave if there are a few stragglers taking the piss.

Ah fair enough its not actually that bad on that basis

Premier Inn Wembley Stadium still £37 for tonight. Sounds like it'll be full of Jacks!

For me is always hard to find a good place for parking in the london, i liked how streets were free during the lockdown. After the covid-19 pandemic i decided to move back to the europe, im thinking to stay in berlin for some time, i like this city, western European architecture is amazing, i still cant believe that people constructed all those houses. Yesterday i went to free walking tour Berlin and was suprised how many old building they saved in the good shape. If any of you know beutiful examples of the architecture around berline let me know.

Thanks for the parking information! It’s better to know in advance what to wait for and what to expect from the area. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there, and a lot probably has changed since. Is there any cheap paid parking there? Or maybe not even cheap, but not expensive too.
I just need a normal price for a day or two of parking. There are always so many issues with parking in this country because there’s not enough space for it or something. Australian hotels, like broadbeach hotels, for instance, have parking lots for hundreds of cars, so it’s enough for everyone.

Talking London in general, we've begun to park at an Asda in Southgate, which is actually in North London. We parked 8am Monday until 11pm Tuesday recently and it was £10.
5 minutes walk to Piccadilly line, £2.50 into central London at weekend, think it was £3.10 during the week.
The Mrs found it on a parking app, I'm sure there must be other supermarkets that also do it.

I stumbled upon this forum post and I couldn't resist chiming in. I noticed that you mentioned making travel plans for Saturday and I just wanted to share with you something that might interest you. I recently came across this article on https://altezza.travel/en/climbing-kilimanjaro that offers some amazing tips for climbing mountains, specifically Kilimanjaro. I've always wanted to challenge myself and climb a mountain, and after reading this article, I'm seriously considering making my first attempt at Kilimanjaro. It's always been a dream of mine to explore new places and push my limits, and I think climbing a mountain like Kilimanjaro would be an amazing experience.
