I don’t really see why we can’t keep the good elements that Martin brought (confidence and skill on the ball, retain possession rather than percentage channel ball), but build it around looking to be ‘brave’ in areas where it counts, turning forward when you beat the press, looking forward first, before looking back, defending properly, set piece improvement). We don’t have to change everything, and certainly not straight away.

Generally agree, but I think we need the ability to keep possession (while always trying to move forwards) AND use precise long passes when appropriate.

Can someone explain why we put two players out on opposite wingers as a counter attack measure that when the quick long precise counter attack ball was played the forward was left isolated out on the wing with nobody dashing forward from the back to offer them
support and the other forward as I said out on the other wing.
We try and ensure we have players close together to support each other in defensive but we seem to think good passing and support is not need up front, as if we think a forward is going to beat a back four all by himself?
