This is a beautifully balanced, well-oiled beast; a squad more complete than our last promotion-winning team. We made Norwich dance to our tune all night, controlling the game without even having the ball. We could've stepped up a gear or two if needed, too

We have it all 👌🏻

Just smile

...smugly.

53 points from 27 games, 16 clean sheets, 15 goals conceded, Goal difference of +20, same goals scored as "free scoring" Norwich

Unbeaten in 2021, 20 points from the last 24, 8 games unbeaten in the league, 10 games unbeaten overall.

The only downside is we cannot be there to appreciate it fully

but we park the bus and dont score enough!!

Free hit at Pep to come too. Lovely to see

Most professional display I can recall in years. The experience of Bennett, Ayew, Naughton and Hourihane also means we are no longer adverse to using ‘dark arts’ as needed. It’s what the best do.

Powerful display, wonder why they sunk into their shells against Brentford so much. I suppose the red card didn't help

I had hoped when we signed him that Hourihane would give us the balance our midfield has been crying out for. He is basically a better more experienced Conor Gallagher who has a very palpable end product. In honesty the midfield trio of Grimes, Fulton and Hourihane gives us the perfect blend of experience, youth, grit and class and I can't see many teams putting one over us based on current form.

Goals are coming in from all over the team too so when Lowe and Ayew get a sticky patch we are still scoring, it takes a lot of pressure off the front two and also some of the pressure off Morris when he gets his opportunities.

We cannot get ahead of ourselves, but there is good reason to feel optimistic at the moment.
Predictions for the outcomes of remaining games/points and what we would need to gain automatic promotion would be interesting.

86 points, as I've said all along. Trampie will disagree.

Ok 89 to absolutely seal the deal then. So 36 from 19.

Handy that we’ve already played both Brentford and Norwich twice.

Add to that most of the other top 8 or so sides have to come to us on our patch with the exception I think of Bournemouth.

That was night and day from the Brentford game and exactly what we've been asking for. We didn't play for a point at all. Yes we let them have plenty of possession and defended to our usual high standard, but when we had the ball we looked to do something positive with it.

Guehi's pass at 0-0 that put Lowe in was the perfect example. A high risk ball because it's travelling so far along the deck, but it was perfectly weighted and showed the attitude we had out there. Let our talented players show just how good they are.

Play at anything like that level for the rest of the season and automatic promotion should be ours. Buzzing tonight. Well done Cooper and the boys.

I wish we were as good as Brentford though 😕
