West Brom plan talks with Swans boss Williams

Still find Williams as a target for WBA strange.
When Corberan left not for one minute did it occur to me they would go for Williams.
I'm still on the fence about him. However part of me would like to see him complete the season.
Similarly if he does get the gig. I have no inkling who we would look at.

The fact it's taking WBA this long to appoint a new coach - bear in mind how quick Stoke were to get Robins in - suggests they are aiming for someone where it's complicated to get a deal done, and not someone who is currently out of work. That doesn't necessarily mean it's Williams they're after of course, but it does make it a bit more likely.

came during the several weeks Guidolin was in hospital.

Admitted 2nd March. Released 7th March. So not even one week. And of course, plans would already have been well in place for both games he missed during that period.

I'm not dissing Curt, but even at the time there were some very weird vibes surrounding Guidolin and people attempting to downplay the job he was doing.

Fair enough, but he missed three games in all and we won 2 of 3, one of them at Arsenal. Prior to that he'd only won 1 of his first 5 so he'd hardly given us a bounce had he.

I was never a fan, he did an ok-ish job but he never felt a good fit here to me. I thought Jenkins dropped a massive bollock giving him a contract that summer instead of getting Brendan back. I think he placed far too much stock on us having won a handful of dead rubbers for big name clubs at the tail end of the previous season (Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham). For various reasons those clubs weren't remotely interested in those games against us, they had bigger things to attend to.

If I remember right, we'd just endured a very tough group of matches where we played well but didn't get the results, the sacking occurred just as an easier run was about to start. I liked Guidolin and thought he would have done well, given the chance.

Indeed it was a savage opening if I remember correctly, something like 3 of the top 4 in the opening 4 games.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. If WBA offer him enough money to move back to the Midlands he'll probably be off like a shot whilst some of our more conspiratorially minded supporters will no doubt be looking for reasons to blame the club for it, just like they have with Potter, Cooper and Martin.

Tbf mate there's a reason our managers continually get poached. We pay them peanuts and we give them scraps to work with in the transfer market which is bad enough, without a decent scouting system to pick up some low price gems. They just get given low price crap.

Record transfer spend in the football league by our new owners first proper window, fact.
Doing their darndest to fix the mess that Martin made.
Your narrative is so tediously off piste and menacing, fella. Have a word with yourself in your dad’s dark grim garden shed.

This is the first transfer window since the ownership changed hands. Nothing's happened yet.

Come on California-based "Jack". Be better.
