Where Do We Go From Here? Wiliams Is Killing Us! Any Suggestions?

Absolutely, everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of our moaning pricks aren’t supporters because they don’t support in anyway at all they just follow results from afar.
This is very true. They’re like the people who walk around South Wales wearing Liverpool shirts who they refer to as “us” when they’ve never been to Anfield in their lives.
They follow Liverpool’s results from afar.

Spot on.

We currently sit 12th in the table for away form and 21st in the table for home form, which tells you precisely where our problem lies.

If the squad was truly as awful as some people believe then there's no way on Earth we'd be achieving the halfway decent results on the road that we are. Our biggest problem is that we play the same way at home as we do away. We only have a Plan A, and when that doesn't work all Williams is capable of doing is trying Plan A harder.

This also factors into the sheer boredom that is most games at home and the cratering attendances. A cagey, possession centric style may work well on the road. At home, we need to do more. People aren't excited by passing the ball around endlessly trying to frustrate the opposition. They want to see us on the front foot trying to win games, and we don't. Instead we make it easy for the away team to do precisely that to us.

Watching live games has dropped dramatically over the last few years.
It's now getting to the stage that I don't even want to watch the games in TV but for now still do.
Normally any game within 100 miles was a no brainer, Stoke is easily achievable but not for one second have I thought going.
It's depressing what's happening at our club and decision after decision or lack of one, shows that the club is just a shell.

Port Vale next season. Retro trip 😉

I have tried to stay off here all day in the hope that when I eventually logged on I would see that the club owners had enough and got rid of Williams and his awful, dreadful amateur coaching and tactics. Of course I am now disappointed.
Was I imagining that Franco did not even get on the pitch last night?

It’s easy to support a team that’s doing well, much harder to drag yourself down there when times get tough.

Isn’t it just. It takes some fkn cheek for people sat at home to criticising those of us who actually go and support the team, however much they’re struggling.

The players aren’t to blame for this. Williams probably isn’t either (although he is moreso - even if he has crap players, it’s his job to motivate them).

We’ve played completely differently the last 3 games (post-Grimes). We’re not passing the ball around endlessly now. We’ve gone from dominating possession and passes 2:1 to being pretty much even with the opposition. And a higher proportion of long balls.

It’s not making any difference mind!

What confuses me the most. Coleman is in attendance. He can see and hear what is happening. I know to be a millionaire and business driven you have to be a certain type of person, ie usually arragant and on another level. But what does he really think is gong happen? We know it, the team knows it. He seems to be the only person who is so arrogant that he refuses to give in. But why? He will lose out eventually. It has that feeling of an owner of a retail business like Game, not adapting and for seeing that things need to change as the target market is changing. Blockbuster, the works. I could go on. Also I don't blame you with still watching. I am, but I feel numb when watching.

He can’t judge what’s happening, as he’s lacking experience.

Besides that, he can’t be that driven. With 48 hours of the window to go, he said he was surprised at the lack of progress. This is after him saying before the window that he was putting the DOF search on hold so he could concentrate on the window.

It sounds like he took his eye off the ball. Given the short window and how quickly things move, he should have been all over things every single day. Not “surprised” with only two days to go.

What is the role of KOL? He is always among management with his gameboy.

55% possession with one shot on target against Sheff Wed says otherwise. Also more passes, more final third passes and backward passes.

We've changed shape for sure, but we're still over elaborating on the ball, as the boos that rang out every time Darling passed to Cabango (or vice versa) every time there was a forward option also testify to. It's a feature of the style, as is the defensive ricket that cost us the game.

It's clear that Williams is in trouble, I hope he turns it around but clearly a lot of fans have had it with him given some of the stuff people are typing about him.
Far too much of people's anger and annoyance is aimed at Williams when it alot more of it should be aimed at Coleman and co as they have the power to call the shots and make the decisions, it's obvious there is no intention to get rid of the manager.

It's upto the people who sit in their house on matchday just posting on the matchday thread to get down the stadium and make their voices heard if they want things to change.
I get people are going to post back to me saying this and that but the reality is that people don't want to hear things they don't like......and I know the ones who sit on their arses just racking up the posts on a matchday thread home game after home game will be the ones who will not like it the most.
