• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

But that’s the market we are shopping in, Fin was free, was nowhere near ready, but emergency cover for no cost.

We won’t do much business in January other than selling either I don’t reckon so be prepared to be disappointed.

Absolutely agree with you Risc. I don't think it's helped the lack of opportunities players get though. Ben Davies was nowhere near ready but grew into it. There are options, especially considering our budgetary limitations but often they are ignored.

In terms of January business I think it'll be dependant on what goes out. If the troublesome two go then I think we will see incoming but that's hardly crystal ball stuff

I think it was Jasper on other site who used to use this reference but could be wrong, ogbene would have done the running, “water carrier” for the likes of Piroe. Cullen does it now but not to the level of Ogbene, hasn’t got the pace or mobility.

Anyway, I’d guess ECB was right earlier in thread, Russ wants a striker and the board think we already have one good enough on the books in Whittaker, problem is, Russ disagrees if his words are anything to go by.

From what I've seen in the last few weeks, Piroe shouldn't be an automatic starter at the moment so a front pairing of Cullen & Ogbene might be an option, if we get him.

Yeah I agree, I just get the feeling we don’t do anything near what we maybe could have expected. Maybe a few cheap loans at end of the window similar to Fin and Okoflex.

I do think Okoflex should have had more minutes, the Fin Stevens one as an odd signing I said so at the time, from people who watch wales age grade alot he is an out and out defensive minded right back in a four, he’s nowhere near a wing back, especially in our system.

I do think we need be trying boys from the academy and trusting them more aswell, Abdulai, McFayden, maybe even Josh Thomas.
