(Wilfried Bony) I hate to bring it back up again BUT....

World Class?

He was brilliant, world class though?

Never go back, we should have learned this by now.

That is a question for another debate... what is world class?

During his 2 seasons with us he was one of the best in the Premier League and doing it in the Europa League and the International Stage too...

In my eyes... that’s world class.

He never really relied on pace... so even if he’s slowed down. A fit Bony should be more than good enough in the championship.

His goal for us vs Hull away in the Championship I remember being a beauty, I do think he would be great for us until the end of the season.

His quality at his peak will never be disputed, pure class, and as you say he was never blessed with pace, but what you have to factor in is his desire, and willingness to "run through brick walls" going forward, something you could argue he failed to do when we brought him back 18 months ago, and to this day I'll argue that bringing WB back rather than getting someone like Charlie Austin or Shane Long (who were both available at the time)at a fraction of the price, cost us our Premier league status.

It's a no from me unfortunately

Pay as you play or not, he's not worth the gamble, he's way past it even at championship level, and what sort of message would that send out to Morgan Whittaker?
As much as I love fairytale endings, Bony's ship has sailed, we move on.

In Saudi Arabia in the last two and a half years? There are plenty of people who run with pace on Swansea beach, but there is no place for them in a promotion chasing Championship side. Just like there isn't for Wilfried Bony. He is quite simply not fit enough for the physical demands of it. so please, stop all this nostalgic nonsense because that's all it is.

Is his lad still in the academy?

I love Wilf but I'd be more inclined to take him in a coaching role.

I was running this morning and who did I see out for a run on Swansea Bay but... Wilfried Bony.

We are in dire need for a number 9 striker.

Currently twiddling his thumbs, keeping himself fit in Swansea we have one of our best ever strikers... and the way Lowe & Ayew are at the moment... a 45 yr old Wilfried Bony would surely do a better job up top than those 2.

A short term deal (if not on ridiculous wages)... he'd bring a completely different option to what we already have... at worst I could see that he could hold the ball up and bring others into play.

Surely he couldn't be any worse than what we currently have?

Alan Waddle's only 66

There is little doubt when he was here first time he was a complete class act. But you only have to see what he has done in the years since he left to know that those days are passed

Plus we would be stupid enough to bring him back with all the hype that we did last time that just rang out "commercial signing" rather than "football signing"

Remains a no for me and I really hope it hasn't even been discussed in the corridors of power.

I sort of agree with this. When you consider that no clubs in the entire league are prepared to offer him a contract (his agent must have tried, shirley), then why would/should we? He was always injury prone in his "peak", what on earth would be be like this time around. All that apart, I don't think Cooper would touch him with a barge pole. Lovely memories, but they should remain just that imho.

Bony world class? Come on....you basically robbed Man City for 20 million. Did he even play for them? I’m not sure who is even world class in the PL at the moment, Bale was, maybe Kane, but even he hasn’t done it on a world stage and he hasn’t won a trophy here let alone in Europe? World class is doing it regularly at the highest level (that’s not mid table PL)

It’s all what your definition of World Class is... in 2015 Bony scored more goals than anyone else in the Premier League whilst also scoring against some of the top teams in Europe too.

He was certainly a top Premier League player... but was always going to struggle to get much game time at Man City ahead of Aguero in his prime.

Another injury lads and we might be begging for him to come back.

Think he could offer something if he was fit but it is a massive IF! Financially i dont think it would cost us much, he is dragging his feet at present and doesnt seem to have any takers so it woldnt be much of a gamble that side of things......Cant see it happening at present but we have a busy schedule coming up so fingers crossed we avoid injuries otherwise it could be something we might have to look at.

Some brilliant goals shame they don't show more of the build up play!.I'd rather see us give whittaker a go,we need mobile forwards. it's a shame for Wilf he hasn't got a club but there's a reason why he hasn't.

I can’t see him in top scorer tables? You sure? He had a couple of good seasons for you but that’s about it.....

To be fair Benny, when your top PL goalscorer ever has 7 goals, you should probably see 25 in 54 as world class...
