Williams out

It's only nonsensical when it shows the deficiencies in your blind support of a manager that in this very moment in time seems completely void of any ideas and out of his depth.

The way the national team plays now compared to when Page was in charge is a complete contrast.

It's the same players different manager.
That's so true, same players, different manager and playing with real attacking intent. Williams is, ultimately, a coward. He's also afraid to drop players who don't perform, ie Grimes. Having said that, when Grimes assumes his central defence position, Williams does a total of feck all to change things. One can only assume that Grimes is playing under orders. Of course we shouldn't be at all surprised to see the Fulton-Grimes axis-of-doom again on Saturday.

Franco will play his 65 minutes a week on Saturday.

No one is going to change their mind on any of this, and it really doesn’t matter. Results will decide Williams future. The owners will already be restless I would think as they’ve spent a lot of money in their eyes and Williams has fewer points than Duff season on season - and that’s a fact - and they had no compunction in getting rid of him. I think having yet another change of manager (we lose them if they are good or bad) would be a real problem that we can’t really afford, so I want him to up his game, but I think Williams probably has 9 or 10 games (maybe at best) to sort his shit out. Carry on like this and the stadium will be empty anyway. Some of us can’t even bear 90 mins on screen of his current hopeless boring garbage.

They aren't going to get rid of him.

This is a lower mid-table squad. He has us in lower mid-table.

The big problem is people who have expectations that it should be better than that. They live in cloud cuckoo land.

He'd have to drag us firmly into the relegation zone and be adrift by 5 points for them to even consider pulling the trigger.

I can't understand the logic of withdrawing one of our best players on or around the hour mark when he does play.

Surely a major summer transfer signing can last a full match and play more than one game per week.

Again questions need to be asked of the coaching staff is this guy isn't in the right condition to do so.

What's the saying about a bad workman and his tools?

It doesn't help that he's having to do the running of 2 centre midfielders each game because Captain Fantastic who is supposed to be alongside him is hiding behind the centre backs racking up his pass completion stats.

Luke Williams is a imposter hanging onto Russell’s coat tails.

He got no class from playing or managing.
He’s achieved nothing. The cheap option.
He’s all mouth no trousers, playing the media and the fans.
Got sacked before how comes he back here?

In fairness LW had success in the National league and L2...maybe that is his ceiling

There's little point in changing the manager. The fact that our squad is so reliant on players such as Cabango, Fulton, Allen and Cooper and then we have the additions of the last couple of windows

Pep would struggle to get a tune out of this squad

Knives will be out and I understand their frustration but again highlighted our lack of depth but confidence and luck is totally flat now.

Whereas Luke is not the main problem - that would be the inept ownership as a whole - he has some very serious flaws.

Our substitutions largely always result in a negative outcome. Today being the prime example. Bringing Joe Allen on for a forward is not something you do when you're chasing to win a game.

The lack of consistent runs in the team of Bianchini and Vipotnik. They might be absolute shit but when they barely get more than a game before being dumped back on the bench benefits no one. It displays a serious lack of conviction.

Today we took off Franco, Cullen and Vipotnik to bring on Allen, Bianchini and Cooper. Where were the goals going to come from? Where's Wilson, Govea?

We look like we won't score until Eom is back and even then we are relying on a player who has one assist all season and no goals.

Our only natural attacking option from the bench today was Bianchini.
You could argue that Wilson could have been included but it's not ideal but certainly worth considering at this stage.

Then start Cooper in attacking midfielder and have Cullen to come off the bench. Wilson couldn't offer worse.

Alternatively, he sees them in training every day, where perhaps they are just as bad as they are on matchday.

Perhaps he's got it absolutely spot on with them. Perhaps he's praying for January so he can bring people in and hopefully leave them out of the squad altogether.

Let's face it they hardly make a compelling case for more minutes do they?
