Williams out

My last home game was QPR, couldn't tell when I'll be going again.

I'd rather waste thirty quid on other things these days.

My boy (11) has started to take an interest this season. I took him to several games before Xmas, bought him a shirt for Xmas and everything.

When I asked him if he fancied the West Brom game the other week he said "no thanks, to be honest it's a bit boring Dad".

I had absolutely nothing to say to that.

When I was his age, I was about 2 years in and I was hooked. I couldn't wait to get down there every game. Now, the product is boring, and it is also quite expensive.

If the club isn't careful, it is going to haemorrhage an entire new generation of fans.

For the first time forever, we didn't renew this season. Not regretting that decision one bit. Last 2 seasons think I've only enjoyed around 10/12 games.

I've just read that the fuckwit is blaming the state of our pitch now.(Okay, it's not the greatest but it's hardly Mynydd Newydd )
The bloke is a grade one idiot. End of.

And he said that it was right to let Abdullai go. He will probably play a box to box midfielder for them he said. What, his position Luke ? There were too many obstacles for him here. Hahaha. Our vast array of box to box midfielders ?
Fuck off you twat.

Well, with energetic youngsters like Joe Allen and Jay Fulton pushing for a place in the team, what hope does an aging veteran like Azeem have at this club?

Oh, hang on.

I think we've made up our minds. Next season will be our first without a season ticket for 36 years.
I can’t bring myself to not get one. I’ve had my seat since the stadium opened, so if I let that go and just grabbed any ticket now and again, it wouldn’t feel right. Plus I need to get my grandson hooked and set for a life of misery watching us first.

I'm with you. I've supported the Swans since first taken to the Vetch by my dad in 1965. I had my first season ticket pretty soon after. I've had my seat since the stadium opened.
I'll be renewing, but I've never felt less like doing it. I just live in hope that the Yanks feck off and more engaged owners take over.

Sums up the situation perfectly.

The enjoyment of going to the game is completely being sucked out of it.

It's funny, my boy is 10 and loves it.....quite a few of his mates he plays football with also go and they are totally hooked and it's virtually their life along with playing football and of course Fortnite 😁

What's he done to upset you. ;)

Coleman talks about community and football identity, he also talks about entertainment and the Swansea way (whatever that is)

The reality is a depleted squad low on quality. A gaffer out of his depth and a dwindling now of core support at home games.

Fraud ownership. Fraud manager steering us to L1

My dad first took me when I was around 10-11 and I was hooked for life even though we were utter sh*te for a lot of that time (late 80s, early 90s). Whether the team was any good was not really a factor in whether you went to the games or not back then, and never has been for me.

Maybe that's just a youth mentality that goes with age, but entertainment value was not really high on the list of expectations...maybe football has just changed so much that those other factors that kept you going, like the social aspect, the atmosphere, supporting your local team through thick and thin etc just doesn't resonate as much these days when everyone has the same prefab McStadiums, flair/character players are ground out of the game and everyone is just trying to play the same old poundshop Guardiola style.... and it's causing people to lose their connection with the club?

People always look for an excuse or something to blame and can ignore the real answer.

Accessible football on TV has a huge play also.
