Williams out

Williams is now under water, fact.

This game has already shown how utterly out of his depth he is at this level.

Calamitous defensive mindset causing us to always regress. The fella is cut from the same weak as piss cloth as his similarly disastrous mentor.

We deserve far better. The owners too.

To be honest after that today I'm fast losing patience.

Only so many times you can go home pissed off after a game. But the sympathisers will say "we did well to come back Vs Portsmouth" or "we did well to stay in the game against Leeds"

Other teams beat Portsmouth pretty much every game and Leeds' away record is awful

The biggest problem is our shitty, average squad with players like Tymon, Cabango and Ronald in it. Williams is not the best coach out there, but neither is he the worst. He's about as good as we can do at the moment to go with the players we've got.

We're an average second tier club getting average results with average resources.

Sacking Williams and replacing him would just be turd polishing.

Cooper In.

We need a savvy manager who can get the very best out of our richly assembled talent.

Williams is simply failing as per his mentor, in so many calamitous schoolboy ways.

Cooper plays effective, efficient, entertaining(for us intelligentsia fans) winning footy at this level.

I can't take you seriously... He's be coming back to a weaker squad than the one he couldn't do anything with the last time. Great plan bucko

You might be a lot of things, intellectual isn't one of them 😂

Exactly.

If all he could do was eke out scruffy 1-0 wins with Ayew the only attacking outlet, imagine how bad it would be second time round with absolutely nothing to work with at all. It would just be a cycle of endless 0-0s with nothing ever happening at all

Cooper played effective football but do not delude yourself into thinking it was entertaining football.
The majority of the fan base were unhappy with his style of play for a reason.

Yes he did superbly when he took over Forest to get them promoted, but his side here heavily relied on the talent of a 40k a week player in Andre Ayew to create opportunities out of nothing. Yes he was often hung out to dry with little to no attacking wing talent but I wouldn't expect him to suddenly turn into a manager known for exciting free flowing football if somehow he did return.

I think Williams is brilliant at setting a team up but useless at in game management.

I can't remember the last time he positively affected a game with a tactical switch. Every substitution is like for like and we never change anything to counter the opposition changes - even when it's blatantly obvious that things need adjusting.

We also defend narrowly so teams know to get down either side. Especially our left.

We practically go to a narrow back four of four centre halves (three if Key is doing his falseback role) leaving MPH and Ronald one Vs two against a winger and full back.

Personally I think he needs better coaching staff around him.

He appears tactically inept upon times.

What's blatantly obvious is that he hasn't learned from the likes of the Leeds game....something that his buddy Russ was always guilty of. We just don't fckn learn from mistakes.

Key and Tymon definitely are poor, Cabango blows hot and cold and is always not far away from a meltdown, no side can carry such liabilities in defence and make a push for the playoffs, fact...

Key as wingback could work but not in a flat back four the way he goes wandering off.

The purpose of Pedersen, Toe and Abbey is a bit baffling considering our LW rotates everybody else.

They are 3 pointless substitutes, just wasting away doing nothing. Why have we got such an inadequate bench? Our substitutions just make us weaker, game after game after game.
