Cooper played effective football but do not delude yourself into thinking it was entertaining football.
The majority of the fan base were unhappy with his style of play for a reason.

Yes he did superbly when he took over Forest to get them promoted, but his side here heavily relied on the talent of a 40k a week player in Andre Ayew to create opportunities out of nothing. Yes he was often hung out to dry with little to no attacking wing talent but I wouldn't expect him to suddenly turn into a manager known for exciting free flowing football if somehow he did return.

No delusion, whatsoever.

The more insightful fan enjoyed his winning brand. (75%of the wider voting fanbase.’). And wanted him to stay.

In stark contrast to the shallow, affected, twp fan queens who adored Martin’s pie and coiffed beard.

Cooperball has consistently smashed Martinwang- 3 wins out of 3; 12-4, and counting

We also defend narrowly so teams know to get down either side. Especially our left.

We practically go to a narrow back four of four centre halves (three if Key is doing his falseback role) leaving MPH and Ronald one Vs two against a winger and full back.

Key as wingback could work but not in a flat back four the way he goes wandering off.

The purpose of Pedersen, Toe and Abbey is a bit baffling considering our LW rotates everybody else.

Didn't go to the game yesterday so can't comment in it but throwing a 2 nil lead is not good.

Going into Tjoe a On, Pedersen and Abbey. The general view is they are not up to it and the hope is all 3 will be out the door in Jan with a left back and centre half to challenge being the aim.

Key and Tymon definitely are poor, Cabango blows hot and cold and is always not far away from a meltdown, no side can carry such liabilities in defence and make a push for the playoffs, fact...

Key and Tymon aren't natural defenders, they like to attack far to much which leaves us baldy at the back and that's one of reasons Grimes drops back and it pulls Cabango and Darling wide.
Not seen any of the game, but the result doesn't surprise me nor does losing the game after being 2up. We're not gonna match those club's with financial muscle.

The new owners have a choice. Stick with Luke and the team and finish the season in mid to low table mediocrity, then try and do it all again next season. Or, bring in some experienced leaders on and off the pitch and have a real gamble at making the playoffs, thereafter it's a 25% chance of making the big time and getting a return on the investment.

By the way, I'd much prefer a good championship season than being lambs to the Slaughter in the Premiership.

I'd rather die trying and all that.

I'd rather get promoted to the PL and get relegated straight away every day of the week, over languishing in and around the Championship playoffs consistently. Quite often the 'certs for relegation' who go up to the PL end up being pretty competitive after a hand-full of signings (who tend to be fairly high standard, wanting to play in the PL...).

Ironically, the academy could save the new owners & Williams a lot of money in January if he was willing to give them a go.
Quite a few there would be chomping at the bit for some 1st team minutes.
Better than scouting someone for weeks only to find they won't get a work permit!

Turned out to be a nice little earner for somebody though. All that contract money to build two facilities instead of one.
