Williams out

I think the clock is ticking now for Willy, be interesting to see if he deflects criticism again in today's post-match...
We are just treading under him.

Win a few on the spin and then lose a few on the spin.

Hope we don't get dragged in to a relegation scrap, these players don't have the guts for it.

If you listen to Coleman on Tuesday night at the Nathaniel Cars launch event, he is backing him for the long haul. Said how much praise he deserves, how he's so understated and doesn't realise how good he is.

No way he will be gone this side of Christmas unless he walks. But you don't walk when you're 13th in the league.
It begs the question, how would Coleman know a good football manager when he sees one?

Just heard LW post match. He doesn't know what our problem is. Eh!?
Our problem, in a nutshell, is our style of play, which I assume comes from the manager. It's a style where every time we're on the ball, we look to play safe, i.e. backwards, to retain possession, which usually ends up at Vigouroux's feet for another rinse and repeat.
The problem with this is, exemplified by the match today, that it gives the opposition all the time in the world to organise and get ten men behind the ball.
In contrast, Hull were constantly hitting us with balls over the top or down the flanks and it was often three against three because they were moving the ball from the back quickly.

Exactly this, spot on.

Think about why wily Willy does this - it’s got everything to do with him and bumping his Possession Stats - it’s that simple:
- Inverted FBs to retain possession;
- Matty dropping so deep, to retain possession;
- the reluctance to play wide and expansively, to not risk losing possession.

All of which leaves as sitting ducks to the counter. But he cares not a jot.

He’s doing it cos his hero Martin did it. He’s chasing that same dream, in the same way but he’s not as canny as Martin.

Many more now are calling him out for it.
We don’t have the same level of SM queens and forums banging their chops on his behalf.

Folk should now be questioning why he was sacked off from our Club before 😉

What is a SM queen?

Is it some kinky sex thing...

Fair point.
Name the players.

Of the old guard who are consistently mediocre/underperforming, I would be quite happy if Cabango, Darling, Grimes, Cullen, Allen, Fulton, Naughton were all not there next season.

Of more recent arrivals I'd also drive Tymon, Eom, Ronald, Vipotnik, Bianchini and MPH to their next club myself.

Hand on heart, the only players in this squad who really do it for me are Vigouroux, Key and Franco. Can take or leave the rest. You can't trust any of them.

Is that the same Vig that gifted them the winner today.

Blaming the quality of our squad is all well and good, but using that as an excuse requires the teams who beat us to have much better ones. I'm not sure that is often the case in this division, outside the top five or six teams. Certainly Hull can't be said to have one, and they beat us with ease today.

Williams got it wrong from the start, and the sight of Franco, probably a lot of people's pick for player of the year kicking his heels on the bench when he should be an automatic choice just underlined that with a great big black felt tip.

We're not seeing much different from Martin other than a slightly less suicidal defence.
