Eek.51 and 49 points needed to be safe the past 2 years, so we might need more than 9.

I have had my many opinions on Grimes and this most likely be my last. It was a mess before Grimes. Grimes hindered the team alot with his side ways and back passing. A fresh start and a new mid field was needed. All the issues that have gone on around the club have been the issue. Grimes wasn't the saint many think he was. Yes his stats was good, but it wasn't the whole picture. There were a lot of people optimistic after Grimes left, it's been a shitshow ever since to be honest, not that i was disappointed to see him move on. As Coops said, it's all about results from here on in.
Thoroughly enjoyed it too - great thread along with your insightful thread about the Swansea way - poty, already ……It's 1 game. But I enjoyed that. Shows what a team that doesn't pass back all the time can actually attack. It was interesting to see the Swans going back into their old ways in firs 15 minutes here or there, then crowd reacted to that negative approach Nd encouraged into forward play, and we didn't look back. VP looked like he was a different player.
Really appreciate that mate.Thoroughly enjoyed it too - great thread along with your insightful thread about the Swansea way - poty, already ……
I said it in the week. Many was looking for just a result, but I called for a performance as well. That was the nice part. Seeing players everything right until the end. This felt nicer than QPR win as it came from a non Williams team. Plus, Grimes gave that team talk at QPR, so I won't give that to WilliamsI haven't been left buzzing about a performance like this for a long time, not even the 3-0 demolition of QPR which was arguably Williams's finest hour.
Yea I get that, Williams had to go (although the question the boards decision to sack him without a replacement lined up). But Sheehan isn't going to be able to even get them fitter by Saturday either.
I'm preparing myself for this to be potentially worse.
It’s a measure of the Martin-Williams toxicity and rot undermining and stymying our richly assembled latent talent.Unbelievable. How does this happen? Same players, same pitch, better opposition!

It really is that simple
He got an assist today at Coventry didn't he? Doesn't change nothing in my mind. I told myself that there would be no more Grimes talk. Let's just say this, the team still has the smell of Williams on the team. You could see that when they felt a bit unsure to press or go back. That was first 15 minutes. After that they seemed to shrug it off. If Grimes was in this team I have no doubt he would be passing back. We need to give players time to shed that Williams stink and get rid of Fulton and players who want to play backwards onlyYou missed out Grimes

. We need a team that presses when it's needed. Not constant pass back.
Totally agree. Grimes would not allow this team to be so dynamic. Everything would go through him.My point was, I don't think the performance today would have been as good or as exciting or energetic had Grimes been playing.
