• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I haven't watched much sky sports cricket despite the T20 cricket world cup......have any of the "wise men" like Atherton, Hussain, Bumble and co had anything to say?

Tell you something, Johnson’s got a fucking brass neck given his history of racist comments which he always dressed up as banter.

I used to enjoy listening to them at times.....but by Christ they think they are an expert on all things.
Rob Key started well but hanging round Shane Warne has made him have an inflated opinion of himself
I've always found cricket clubs at all levels a bit elite and snobby.
I'm not surprised that some hold rqcist views as I've seen "working class" people looked down at.

I wonder what odds you can get on the likes of Vaughan and Bumble appearing in an interview shedding a few tears.
I notice that Atherton, Key and Hussain's Twitter accounts are very, very quiet.

Bye bye Lloyd , irritating fake, all that barmy army cr@p
Didn't Michael holding claim he never had any racist experiences personally , find that a bit hard to believe

I also think Lloyd's persona onscreen is a bit false, he comes over as a bit of a comedian and up for a laugh, but I must say I've found him to be extremely blunt and sometimes downright rude on his Twitter account...

Sky got rid of Gower and Botham. Won't do any harm to get rid of a good few more.
Hussain is on his last legs too. Miserable bugger.

There's too many of them for just one Test match.

When sky first started with cricke it was just Colville , Willis and Tony Greig. Sometimes you had Holding and Boycott but they fell out😂🤣

Yes, I think a change to a smaller number of smaller egos would improve matters.

Hussain writes a piece on all of this for the Daily Mail. Of all papers!!!!

Atherton has an article and just like his chum Hussain they fail to mention Bumble.

I was a big fan of the Sky commentary team and there were not many that I had even mild objections to (well perhaps KP’s voice got on my nerves). I generally regarded them as a good blend of characters who knew their subject and who complemented each other very well. Perhaps it’s just me growing old with them but I was disappointed to see Gower and Beefy go.
