• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

What’s the alternative though. Abdulai? We don’t have any top players at this level across any of the front four positions. We may as well support the ones we do have, warts and all.
There is no alternative, we have what we have, a choice between two poor players, hopefully we can get someone in the January window, if a player (in my opinion) is crap I'll call it.
Hopefully I'll be eating my words when Ronald puts in a string of 8/10 performances...

He’s got his flaws but he defends really well and usually looks our only player who looks like he has the ability to create anything.

Attacked his full back to win free kick for the first goal… grabbed the assist for Cullen.

Can't see that myself. Apart from a 5 yard assist, his second half was shocking. Both he and MPH are weak links for me.

Oh for a Dan James, destroyed us today, why nobody didn't give him a clip early doors and keep an eye on him I don't know, where was our full back to keep him in check ffs.

They dragged Tymon and Key wider, and positionally the back four couldn't quite work out their positions because of it.. it happened in preseason against Koln, we lost discipline and positional awareness, hence our lines were like a Z.. Farke knows his onions fair play, they didn't change, they knew mistakes were coming

I hate slagging players online but my missus took the boy today, her first 3 words as she came through the front door we’re about Ronald not being very good.

I thought he was awful today, offered very little going forward.

It was a rare match I couldn’t make today, but he normally runs his socks off until the 98th minute even when things aren’t falling his way. We’re not Leeds with tens of millions to spend on the likes of Dan James, so we can’t ask for more than the players to give everything. Ronald does that in my opinion.

Can't subscribe to that. We could employ 11 non league players who would give 💯, doesn't mean that's acceptable.

He's not quick enough to consistently beat his fullback around the outside. He has shown some ability in cutting in. Naturally we've mostly tasked him with doing the former instead of the latter.

Today was a bit bonkers. He started on the Left and did reasonably well, then got moved to the right and struggled for the rest of the game.
