Ronald The Show Pony

The players seem intent on passing to feet as well, rather than passing to the space for a teammate to run onto. A lot of attacks lose their momentum because the player has to wait for the ball to arrive at their feet
I’m a massive fan of the dink ball, dink over the heads of the defenders for forwards to run in behind, or a defence splitting pass on the ground. We don’t do either very often.

Poor again, time for some bench duty
I thought he showed some promise in first half - pace, pressing and one stormer of a cross.

Faded in second half and I've seen enough of Bianchini tonight to agree with you.

Sorry to say it, but Ronald is giving off very strong Celina/Paterson/Ntcham vibes.

As in, I think I'll have about 3 good games a season when it suits me, and then I'll dine out on that for the other 43.

Eom looks like one of them as well. As does Bianchini. But I'll cut them some slack for a bit longer as they haven't been here as long.

Ron on the other hand can do one if this is all he is. Nowhere near good enough. Contributes nowhere near enough.

Can't cross a ball, him or Eom, and when they do, we don't have anyone likely to make anything out of them, because we're playing a midfielder upfront and two midfielders who have never entered a penalty area, unless it's a penalty

I thought he was a decent find and buy when he first got here, but he's proved to be very one dimensional and I really don't see anything in him, it might not all be his fault of course, but I was expecting more from him as I thought he'd be a stand out.

Lets be fair here, he isn't very good is he? Just the latest in the long line of average players bought by a flawed recruitment policy

All wrapped up in that well versed definition of insanity
It's down to more piss poor recruitment that's he's still starting matches, let's see what happens in January, more of the same I'd wager...

If the powers that be think we'll have enough to survive this season, literally nothing will happen.

Saw a cracking little player yesterday playing for Aberdeen v Celtic, an Irish lad Jamie McGrath, played wide left, ran the show and would probably be a snip in January (not that Aberdeen would want to sell).
Well i couldn't do any worse than Watson I suppose 😂

You're right unfortunately

He certainly had an impact when he arrived. Maybe he was playing his natural game then, and we've since coached all that out of him and turned him into a shell of his former self...

Balls played over the top or through the lines for him to run onto were where we saw him most effective last season; not much of that going on right now. And when it does happen he always seems to hit the first man with his delivery - even when it seems so much easier not to.

He's suffering from the same malaise as the whole team in the final third.

I'm not writing him off just yet, but my confidence in him being at least average in this league is dissipating with every game right now.

He looks gash, but so would Foden, Saka and Haaland with the shite tactics we employ. Wait until he’s marked up by one or two and play it to his feet where he’s standing. We don’t have many good players but our tactics, our selections and our total lack of any urgency, ever, are just brain dead. Thats down to Williams.
