The club is certainly at a crossroads.And I hope Montague and co really give that point some serious thought.
They have to look at the broader picture. It's not just about who they think is the right man, they need to take the temperature amongst the fans into account as well.
They need to understand that the fanbase has had enough of being gaslit by "trust the process" managers, hiding behind "the Swansea Way" slogan in order to justify losing football matches in droves. It simply isn't going to wash anymore. Not now Sheehan has shown there is a better way.
It's an enormous risk to take to go for Hellberg, unless of course the new board have designs on flouting FFP/PSR and increasing the wage bill to compete up the top end (no sign of that to date).
I certainly hope those in charge are listening to the fans. We sold out our home allocation on Friday through a mixture of pricing incentives and decent football.
