Why can't Franco do that job? Him scuttling around with Widell and Galbraith ahead of him is our best midfield in my opinion. To ditch him we first need to sign another DM to make sure there is distance between him and the first team. As I've been saying for weeks.
But some people still maintain the priority is a centre back or a striker...
Yes to an extent. But Cabango missing made a massive difference and lack of striker.I think today showed that an O’Brien type of player would have made it a much different game
What would he have done?I think today showed that an O’Brien type of player would have made it a much different game

If we bring in another starting midfielder, which of them misses out?
Why is AS trying to force a flat midfield three?Couple of things there
It's an extra bum on a seat I'm talking about, to make sure Fulton doesn't make match day squads ideally.
Secondly, Widell is quite clearly not a central midfielder, he's an attacking midfielder. The club even described him as such on their own website. He's competing with Eom, Ronald and Inoussa.
You can be an attacking midfielder from a central position though, which is where I'd have him playing (with Franco behind).Couple of things there

Not sure about yesterday's game not seen anything of it, but O'Brien will be missed this season unless we bring a player similar in.I think today showed that an O’Brien type of player would have made it a much different game
