Equates to mid to lower championship for the top teams. Weaker teams upper League 1

So Montreal FC would be league 1 standard.

There’s an awful lot of retrofitting going on on this thread.

Matching players now to rumours of weeks ago.

The supposed ‘big’ signing has to my knowledge never been mentioned on here. It was supposed to be a player in Italy I think. (Although how much truth is in that who knows). So it can’t have been the bloke who went to Paris.

And I don’t think Idah is the Scottish player that was being spoken about.

It’s pointless speculating until something happens. Maybe we are now in for Idah. We are presumably getting quite desperate at this stage and are casting about. I don’t think he has been on our radar all summer though. i mean, we probably have a dossier on most players so could claim we’ve always looked at him, but that doesn’t mean much.

One thing I would say is that experience should tell us that some players who come with a huge reputation are utter rubbish and some the reverse is true. All we can do is give them a chance. And surely players coming in will be better than what we have, as up front we have sod all.

Whether he is worth the money is like every other transfer. Let’s see what he has to offer when he crosses the white lines.
