• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Good start to the new year
Great momentum to take into what will be a hard game away to Millwall

Watching the replays I’m not convinced Ronald got a touch on the ball at all then. Should have been a foul looking at it

It was a total foul. But no complaints - about time we got some luck. 8 points off play off now people 😂🤔

Great game from us.

Second half press was fantastic.

Ronald tackle for the goal brilliant (may have been a foul but didn’t look it in real time). Fulton doing what he used to do years ago before he became negative - keep that up!

Immense game from Cabango, Burgess and Vigs. Great energy from midfield including the subs.

Only disappointment was Vipotnik and Wales both had good chances which would have made the game less stressful at the end.

Genuinely think that was our best performance of the season.

The Matos effect. Every player knows their job and works their socks off. A long way from being a top side but the foundations are being built expertly by the Portuguese turd polisher!

Exactly refs are told to clamp down on collapsing into the ball like that under no pressure
I have never seen one given though. And it happens every game multiple times. Vigouroux does it all the time (takes longer than he should).

If that had led to a goal it would have been a travesty.

More importantly, 8 points off the relegation zone.
You can stop looking at it like this. We are a team which now plays for the full 90 mins rather than sleepwalking through the back end of games. We have a completely different ethos under Matos. Whilst we had a wobble around the hour mark, we got it back under control and run our legs off right up to the whistle.

In their defence I don’t think either Vipotnik or Wales could have done much more with their chances.

Vipotniks you just have to give credit to the defender getting back and sensing the danger to put in the block.

Wales had three around him and had to take the chance when he did

Up until yesterday only five times in the premier league has a keeper been penalised for it
