• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The energy in the press is definitely a huge feature of the Matos regime

I had an awful feeling it was going the way the Coventry game went. Well done Vigs, Fulton and especially Yalcouhe. I think the 5 players were all booked taking him out of the game.
That is 15 points from 21. A much healthier bag of results and excellent pressing and great defensive work from the front players as well. I'm hoping the team will gel even more and start hammering teams.

Nothing like that
Nah, Michu practically did a one man press all on his own, the bloke was an animal.. if only those ankles could withstand advertisement boards he would've gone on to be a top level player.. our players are puppies in comparison

Well God knows when I will get feeling back in this decrepit body of mine but it was worth every goosebump. Da iawn boys. 👏👏

Was it ever confirmed his antics of kicking the advertising board had an impact on his injuries? Genuine question. As I remember him doing it alot and people said it caused him issues. Myth or not?

It’s a rarity for sure, but I doubt the ref would have punished him if he didn’t collapse into the ball after collecting it
And tbf he’s not got much choice once he’s started the 5 countdown with his hand and gets to zero with no sign of the ball being released.

I think the reason it’s not being more accurately penalised is they’re waiting far longer than 3 seconds to begin the countdown.

It’s definitely ‘speeded’ the game up this season though and far less flopping from keepers.

I hope we can keep Yalcouyé through the second half of the season. He was full of energy and running today and I was a little surprised to see him get subbed off.

I was surprised too, but then remembered we have another game in a few days.

I suspect he won’t do it again…

Probably a myth, but he didn't help himself if it did
