• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

You literally said he's "an actual RB" and "he's played there more than any position in his career".

What if he's moved back into midfield after today and keeps racking up the numbers in midfield? I'm not sure he'll play many more games at RB, at least he shouldn't anyway as it's a waste of his capabilities and exposes his defensive weaknesses

He is a RB. That doesn’t mean he’s not a CM too.

Him playing RB is why we are in the form we have been since he’s been playing there. We won 1 of his last 9 playing in CM.

This is the beauty of football. Everyone has opinions. Personally I’d say he’s a very average right back at Championship level.

It’s been discussed at length on the other thread about the benefits of having him as an extra midfielder when we have the ball, but I’d be interested to see what actual impact that’s had in terms of chances created/attacking output.

You compared him to Alexander-Arnold and I get that in terms of the idea in terms of team shape, but TAA’s assists and pre-assists were off the chart for a right back and massively outweighed any defensive deficiencies 1v1 or positional. What are Galbraith’s numbers like?

This is not a criticism of Galbraith btw, I think he’s a very good footballer and I think we’ll make a very good profit on him this summer or next.

Trent takes corners and free kicks which bolsters those numbers.

65 appearances as an 8, 51 as a 6, 46 as a 10 and 58 as a RB.

You keep saying he's a RB rather than a midfielder, that's not true
Please can you differentiate the RB position between Rb, Defensive RB, Attacking RB, Inverted RB or RWB please.

Defence is split (LB, CB, RB)

Central midfield is split (6, 8, 10)

People would soon be complaining if Walta started playing as a 6 and Fulton as a 10 and would be more than happy to differentiate then 😂

Thought Widell had a case there for being pulled by his shoulder in the box

He literally had an interview where he said it’s not where he feels comfortable and prefers being in midfield

He said he prefers to play there, doesn’t ever say he doesn’t enjoy it.

I am sure he would prefer to be paid twice as much too. Doesn’t mean we should allow him.

I agree with our manager, and the Leyton Orient one.

Flash, you're wasting your time, it's a lost cause.

If listening to the player himself state he's a midfielder isn't going to settle the debate, then nothing will.
