I done almost 350 miles today just to watch our team counter attack themselves back into defense multiple times, it's starting to grete on me

So your predicting at least a play off spot this season then?

It's not for me to judge... its not my investment. But there is an expectation as in all businesses when a ROI needs to be delivered.

Personally, I think we can achieve a top 10 spot but not the way we are playing at the moment unless there is a noticeable ambition on the pitch.

Yalcouye had rave reviews coming here ( played champions league football last season) Widell was that good (he was signed in January and loaned back ) for fear of missing out. Galbraith and Stamenic are having rave reviews playing for their country, and yet if we had lost 5-0 today nobody would have had any complaints. They had 40 odd touches in our box , compared to a handful for us. It's clear nothing is being created going forward, why not try Widell or Eom at 10 , what have we got to lose. Many a good plan has come together by stumbling across it. We are now 10 games in , the football by and large has been depressing, there's no pattern going forward, no intricate 1-2 on the edge of box feeding people in , it's all dull pedestrian nonsense. We have got 2 games at home next and i think he has to win 1. Failure to win both would have us with 1 home win in 7 , a truly shocking statistic if it comes about.

Almost every Championship signing comes with rave reviews if they are from abroad and there are no football league fans to give them negative reviews.

I had never seen Yalcouye play before August. I know he played in the Champions League but that does not automatically make him a great Championship player, he was only at Sturm Graz. My early opinion of him is that he is okay but does not offer much new to the midfield. Good squad filler and hopefully cheap because he is so young and on loan. I do not mind if he starts the next game but I was not surprised that Sheehan stopped starting him because I was not that impressed by his early games. He is fine but not special. At least not yet because he is young and can improve quickly. I can only go on what I have seen and it is not as if he has a long career of success behind him. As for Widell I have barely seen him play and Sheehan seems to think he is not ready or good enough for the level. Maybe he has got it completely wrong and he would actually be a big upgrade and success but I can not act like I am sure that is definitely the case. The times he has played so far he has looked fairly average. Again it is still early and because he is our player I hope I am proven wrong asap. Galbraith was getting rave reviews playing for Swansea managed by Sheehan. He can not be great or expected to carry the side every single game, he is good but not that good. The idea he has been ruined by the coach is very premature.

As for Stamenic, again I had never heard of him before he joined us let alone seen him play. So I can only judge him on that. International football is not always the best place to judge players. Think of the guys who have had good runs for Wales over the years that we would not have wanted in our side in the Championship. He has been okay so far. I am a little worried that he does not pass forward much and is very slim but long term he looks like he should be good for us. Maybe Sheehan has completely ruined him like you claim but the truth is none of us have actually watched him outside of a Swansea kit to make that call.

We can get lots more out of this current squad but I disagree with the argument that we have a squad of world beaters who just need a coach to unlock them. We are fans so of course we got excited about the summer window but maybe it was a 7/10 rather than the 9/10 that we hoped.

Three home games to come in the next ten days.
We need a different approach, particularly in the two league games. There will be unrest in the stadium otherwise.
Having said that, I don't see them sacking him before Christmas unless we plummet into the bottom three very quickly.
It's not just sacking him either. Who's available who you feel would almost certainly get the team playing better and more successfully? Realistic options only.

Kim Hellberg.

Forget about today’s game and forget about the finish against Forest….now can anybody tell me a game where we’ve looked in control and knew what we were doing …I can’t.
Zero progression, huge difference in taking over as a caretaker manager and getting the gig full time, tactically naive would be being a polite way of describing Sheehans performance so far….out of his depth would be another description.
I said several weeks ago that he’d be gone by Xmas, the way things are going it might be sooner, comes across as a lovely bloke and I can see why the players like him but we’re going nowhere under him in my opinion.

The 'entertainment factor' is usually quite low down on the list for me, but following Martin, Duff, and Williams, we are being utterly starved of any sort of attacking excitement. I'm not necessarily arsed by scoring three goals a game, but I sit and watch us at the moment with absolutely no expectation for us to even create a chance.

We didn't have a sniff today - our best chance was probably that Casey header - and we barely created against Leicester, Millwall, Blackburn, and Birmingham, yet somehow have five points from those games.

As much as some people dismiss it as a stat, but we have the second lowest xG in the league, which sums us up a lot

Kim Hellberg.

Now we're getting down to brass tacks.

Didn't get the job despite, as I understand it, being interviewed towards the end of last season.

Would have been an enormous risk, no experience in a top league, no experience in English football. Sheehan was the incumbent and getting results. It was the correct decision.

You don't like Sheehan because you think we should have had a punt on this fella instead. Makes sense now. Dare say there are a few more on here with a similar agenda.

I would just like to see us improve our attacking output to be honest, and start getting into the opposition box, that would surely boost the entertainment factor.

Although, I think it’s more of a case of we need to improve and score more goals to get points and to be competitive rather than entertainment.

I don't dislike Sheehan. Would he have been my choice? No, but can't argue with the results from last season. I completely dislike his footballing style , or lack of it. Only a few games since he has been manager can i think of exciting attacking performances, Plymouth (home) Oxford (home) and Leeds (away) was an excellent result. The rest have been mind numbingly boring performances, particularly Preston and Watford (away) Derby and Burnley (home) last season. I know Burnley were a decent side , but we were waving the white flags coming out of the tunnel and never laid a glove on them. This season hasn't been an improvement, 1 win in 5 at home , mostly against mediocre teams, and mostly, less than exciting performances away culminating in todays shocker. If people are happy with mid table and boring football that's fine , but I'm expecting a bit more this season with the players we have. Be interesting to see the crowd Wednesday evening, that will surely tell you what people think of Sheehan style of football. He has sucked all the pre season optimism and enthusiasm out of supporters in just 10 excruciatingly boring matches.

Sheehan has proved he can get results when taking over a squad low on confidence and struggling mid season. In a sense though he had free hits doing that.

Starting a new season blank canvas with a strong squad means expectation and probably more pressure than his previous experiences with us. So far, he's not really showing hes capable of doing it in what is a competitive but relatively weak championship.

However, its very early days and hes going nowhere when we're 4 points off the play offs and no should he. But these owners will be expecting better performances no doubt.

He's managed to suck all the optimism and enthusiasm with the new owners and better players in just 10 games. He's a shithouse of a manager, always afraid of what the opposition are going to do instead of trying to set his team up to win a game. If he thinks that type of performance today is going to win back supporters He's very much mistaken. We have barely strung 3 or 4 halfs of top quality attacking football in 10 games. Today was the last straw for me, be glad to see the back of him.

Ah, that's a shame. You've been such a staunch supporter of Sheehan until today. Glad you gave it 10 games before writing him off at least.

Is O’Dea telling him to be more defensive? I only say this because he seemed a lot more attacking at the end of last season
