• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Widdel was immense today. He is consistently improving elements in his game, inch by inch, and it looks like he has a very high ceiling.

Felt like it should have been more comfortable than a dodgy penalty (Hurray!!) to win it. We gave up a bit after that. Promising signs, but three things I hope for next season. 1) When facing forward in space, go forward. We did it some times and we looked so different. 2) No more back to Vig to hoof possession away when we already have possession on halfway thank you and 3) calm down and keep the ball away from the centre backs.

All in all though, I thought that was a good display, especially away, and a deserved 3 points, with us getting the breaks for once. Eom was superb when he came on.

Oh 4) don't bring on players that weaken the team when making subs, thanks muchly.

Sell Galbraith and use funds for a right winger and centre half?

Surely got midfield sorted?
Definitely the two positions we need starters in for next season.

I think Matos will want 6 midfielders that he’s happy to start, as we’re using 5 pretty much every game.

If Galbraith is sold we’ve got:
Stamenic, Fulton, Franco, Widell, Walta +1 (I wouldn’t count Cullen in this even though he’s usually playing as an 8 atm). Maybe get Yalcouye back if that happens?

Good show from the boys tonight, the soft underbelly nearly did for us at the end but deserved the win and nice to see football karma at play with the pen!
Eom is starting to look unplayable, as I recall that was the case at the end of last season! Let’s hope he carries it on to next year.

There’s so much potential to build on the foundations of this season, lots of work for the recruitment team to get the balance right. Bring on the window!!

Idah is excellent at holding the ball up, trapping long clearances on his chest and laying off. Something Vip can't do. If we could only clone one striker from the pair of them, bluddy hell.....

Charlton have still got to play Ipswich and Hull, while Oxford are home to Sheff Wed next.
If Charlton lose both those and Oxford win, we would have an outside chance of sending Nathan Jones down on the last day. Oxford would have to win away at Millwall, but stranger things have happened on the last day.

A good performance and an entertaining game.
Obviously it's not perfect otherwise we would have made more of our chances, but at least we're making them.
Some good pressing especially in the first half but we'd did have players tiring in the second half but overall the subs didn't weaken the team.
We deserved the win and could have been more comfortable.
The penalty? Not in a million years but we have been on the wrong end of calls this season so does change luck went our way.
Two more games to go and then then we see how things go to give us a progressive season to come

It's funny how we were screwed by the ref against Southampton for a nailed on penalty and then gifted by the ref on what was never ever a penalty.

They say things even out over a season, so that must mean we're in for decisions going our way the next two games 😏
