Yes barring that nightmare he had at fulham

It is pretty clear that Mitrovic on his day is the best striker in this league by a country mile.
Just though id mention Kyle as he seems to go under the radar, always neat and tidy, organises well and defends well.
Would be interesting to see how much of the ball he actually has in games because he must be up there with Downes and Grimes.

He’s a tidy footballer, his role ATM suits him and he’s developing in to it but a he’s bit too slow in his actions to be the type of fullback we need.

Not sure it has been mentioned yet, but what a game Naughton had again. He has been absolutely fantastic this season playing in the middle of defence. Really showing how good a player he is.
Brilliant to see after many of our own fans would hammer him most weeks despite being a pretty consistent performer.

He gave the ball away a few times last night that put us under pressure.

Cooper was a pile of shite. He had Ayew and a lot of these boys and all the money and they never produced anything like that second half. Come on vetch let’s have your 3 mins of highlights against Birmingham. Give us a laugh.

All those Cooper groupie numpties will be pretending to be pleased now while crying inside. f**k em all. This is not theirs.

Spot on monny, as per usual.

One of the clowns who post on here aswell, should genuinely go and support Nottingham Forest, the guy’s an embarrassment.

The emabarrassments are you two....Im stuck in the middle to quote Stealers Wheel!

Sorry to dissapoint you bullies Im not going anywhere Im STID!!!

Monny brought Cooper up tonight he needs to let that hatred go it must be eating him up seeing him succeed elsewhere whithout Ayew , a preseason or input to the squad he ahs inherited.

Funny how you and others who posted on the forums over the previous seasons criticising Cooper were ok to do so yet when he was defended or others have criticsed MArtin thus far have been open to abuse....

ITs all about opinions and there will never be waorld where everyones will be aligned....fans cant even agree over players performances..Naughton for one gets slagged off and praised has been open to criticism since he arrived and why .....mostly becasue he wasnt Rangel!!...

Im pleased as punch with the last two results and the performances lets hope it continues...

Age and years of support are no badge but I guess I was watching the Swans prrior to you popping yhour head in to the world....as I said bully away all you little girlies together

BUt Im here to stay we will never always agree what has pi55ed me off over the last two seasons is that rationale with a few went out of the window and when rerasoned arguement is used those who disagree get personal and its still happening...

Cooper must have found a lot of four leaved clovers to have finished twice in the play offs in succesive seasons and then taken a team from bottom of the league to 4 points off the play offs in only 5 games in charge despite no preseason .....

Anyway Cooper is in the past...lets start to enjoy our new success long may it continue

Not the last player Mitrovic will give a hard time to this season.

Naughton is twice the footballer Cabango is but I know which of the 2 I'd have given the job of marking Mitrovic.

Putting Cabango or Bennett in the middle would not have fitted in with the system we are developing.

The next best player at doing this job is Cooper.

It won't be Cabango for a while yet.

Second most passes in the league and with the top pass success %
Naughton has always been a scapegoat for our fans.
Put any one of our other centre halve in the middle and then you would be able to see the difference. He is a player we are lucky to have.

I wasn't suggesting Cabango be given the Naughton role but it's very dangerous to stubbornly stick to a system if it means not specifically trying to counter the threat a player like Mitrovic poses because if you do, that player may well go and score a hattrick. It could happen.

I think Paterson was more guilty of that in the first half. The interception of his nonchalant back flick led directly to their goal and another flick in our box when we'd partially cleared a cross from a Phillips free kick gave them another shot at goal which Livermore really should have done much better with. Paterson MoM yes, but he does need to stop doing things like that in our defensive areas.

Won't be long before we play Mitrovic again. Almost impossible to predict but maybe Bennett will cover Mitro. Benno has a habit of getting in the right place. Mitro's goals were good though and he worked them well so I can see RM stubbornly sticking to his system rather than developing a game plan to counter a striker.

Good spot, David, there were a few poor decisions which led to that goal, not least Hamer 15 seconds earlier passing the ball out to one of ours who was running back towards our goal with two Baggies players bearing down on him, but when we'd almost got the ball clear, Paterson's ill advised and casual backheel was the killer blow.

There's nothing stubborn about sticking to the system you want to play, all of our successful managers stuck to their systems. If you start changing it because you are scared of the opposition, well we all know where that got us.

That's absolutely fine if you've got the players to do it but Naughton v Mitrovic is a clear mismatch with only one possible winner. You have to be flexible.

Cabango at centre and Naughton on the right with, if mentally fit, Williams on the left.

The problem is that having anyone other than Naughton at the central CB position will stifle us. None of our more natural CBs are anywhere near the player Naughton is on the ball.
Whilst i would normally agree i think it would hurt our style much more than it would stop Mitro, he is an absolute machine at this level.

12 games inbetween anyway, we'll be top of the league by then haha

RM will tell all players not to leave Naughton isolated when Fulham have the ball. Mitrovic will probably find a way around that. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
