I'd have scored the first one! On a side note, both chances set up by a couple of quality crosses into the six yard box by Tymon3-2.
He missed two sitters not one.

The first Vipotnik sitter was only about 2 minutes later though. So we wouldn’t have been chasing the game for long.In my opinion I didn't see it like that, Lisa. Idiotic giveaway and we're chasing the game, he's never been a captain, and would be in and out of any other team. His headers in the opposition box are, frankly, pitiful. No idea how to get above the ball and head it down. We're a team that's now nearly there. Get a genuine right back in, and give the captaincy to Tymon. Any other game Vipotnik takes his chances. Get the recruitment right and we'll start beating most teams. I lost count how many times Key lost the ball when he came on in the 2nd half. Clearly not good enough. But overall we were the better team, barring a stupid decision by our "captain".
My mindset is I would rather be a team on the cusp of getting a lot of goals than a team struggling in all areas. I agree with you, and think we are not that far off. Get a few quality players in and we'll do well. Considering where we was at under Sheehan, compared to now it's night and day.In my opinion I didn't see it like that, Lisa. This needs to the last statement of the dayWe are going to lose games. We’ll get hammered a few times as well no doubt.
We’re not going to have a team of £10m+ plus players all over the park so don’t expect them to be on top form every game.
It’s a decent enough squad we have, and a more than decent manager from early showing.
Some of you need to get a grip and be realistic ffs, spoilt by our time in the premier league some of you.
Pretty dour first half, second much better and we deserved at LEAST the draw, away to a team flying at the moment.
Uppafuckingswans and we go again.
That's exactly right about his heading. He does it week in week out, just spoons it miles over the bar with no semblance of power. Fucking infuriatingIn my opinion I didn't see it like that, Lisa. Good pointsPlayed fantastically well, couple of Vipotnik sitters missed and a crazy penalty, both out of character for them.
Squad is really starting to click. Clearly missed Widell and Stamenic from the start, I’m sure both will be ready to go for Watford.
We don't have the best striker by a long way
He’s as good a keeper as we’ve had for a long time. Best since Fab in my opinion.I know Monny, hence the wink mun!
Keeper though? Possibly!
Agree re Cabango. Lots of harsh criticism when that’s really the only glaring mistake he’s made this season, usually solid. I do think that we may have to eventually get quicker CBs to make this style of play really work but that’s a different conversation. The first Vipotnik sitter was only about 2 minutes later though. So we wouldn’t have been chasing the game for long.
And Cabango is being very harshly criticised. He made a horrible mistake today but has had a good season. He’s never been good going forward.
I think we are some way from being there to be honest. We have very little actual threat going forward most of the time. We seem to be doing ok but we really are not creating very much at all. Ironically the two chances we created today for Vipotnik were as good as we’ve created from open play for a while. Many of his goals this year have been from half chances if that. Plus we’ve had some worldies from Franco, Tymon, Eom, even Fulton. Our long range shooting has been better recently as well, and our set pieces.
We haven’t done so well in creating genuinely good chances from open play.
We need quality out wide and in the middle. Plus we’ve have to have some ability to swap round with Vipotnik. It may be that his misses were partly tiredness. He looked like he was running through treacle second half.
Quality in that final thrust is what concerns me. I would say we are creating far more clear cut possibilities but not turning them into clear chances.Agree re Cabango. I would say certainly in the last 3 or 4 games we’ve consistently created clear cut chances. Quality in finishing is what concerns me the most.
I think we are creating far more and even chances, we are just not converting them. Hopefully the law of averages says that we start scoring a lot moreQuality in that final thrust is what concerns me. Really? That doesn’t sound like usWe didn’t lose the game because of Cabango.
We lost the game because we can’t score.
What I mean is, for example, we were though and in space on the right of the box quite few times today in the second half and it didn’t once turn into a shot on goal.I think we are creating far more and even chances, we are just not converting them. Hopefully the law of averages says that we start scoring a lot more
Chaos theoryJust a point, and I'm going to be a touch anal here: people talk about what might have been if Vipotnik had taken his chance/s AND Cabango hadn't given that penalty away, we would have been 2-0 up. Now here's the rub. If the first thing never happens, then the 2nd and 3rd phases almost certainly never occur. Think about it, change the pen, Cabango doesn't have his moment of madness, then every single thing that happens afterwards is totally different. We might have won 4-2, or we might have lost 5-0. Everything that happens depends on what happens before it. If a player shoots and scores the rest of the game is different to what would happen if he misses, or the keeper saves the shot. Change any moment in a game and the thereafter changes, in total.
