Was said on Radio Wales this evening by a few ex pros that his caretaker role to what is being witnessed now is like chalk and cheese.

I think that's pretty obvious.

its been obvious bar for a few games all season, playing at home and not having a pop in 45 mins is a sure way of getting the sack or relegation, chances are we will be in a fight after xmas , this isnt an overnight sort out, we seem to playing the same thing all the time ther sides coaches arent stupid.

What's blindingly different then? I asked the same question above and the answer was "we attacked a bit more". Hardly revolutionary and we were hardly like Real Madrid either.

We actually went out to win games and get at teams, This season we seem to be playing and set up not to lose the game first and foremost.
The mindset has massively changed.

Last season you would see central midfielders striding forward and joing the centre forward when crosses were delivered.....we don't see that now because the midfielders are clearly being asked to hold shape and spaces rather than join in with the centre forward.
The midfield 3 are totally different in set up which in turns makes us a totally different team to what we were seeing last season.

Because we were winning more games last season, people believed we were being more attacking or playing with the handbrake off when actually we were pretty much the same but got a few more goals here and there. The club seemed to have followed that logic too and assumed it would keep going the way it did for that short spell. Now the rot has set in, it will take a huge effort for Sheehan to turn this around as every half they go without creating chances seems to compound and reduce the confidence of the staff and the players.

There was a very noticeable difference in how we played when Sheehan took over last season. To claim it was business as usual but we just happened to win a lot more games is a bit lazy. There was a clear intention to play further up the pitch and not be bogged down in our own half. We got Vip more involved and Sheehan knew how to make best use of LOB (who had looked very average under Williams). It was the same squad of players, so nobody's claiming we defied the laws of nature and became a completely different set of players, but there was a clear distinction on how we played under Sheehan last season to how we looked under Williams.

Kind of the whole point of a forum is for people to respond.

This squad is absolutely not better than last season’s.

Go through the players one by one and tell us all the ones that are better.

The squad is definitely better. The first 11 was expected to be vastly superior but might only be marginally better if better at all.

5 at the back at home is just inviting a very good side to dominate. Sheehan should go before Bristol City away.

Before today, I thought 40 coach/60 players but after that first half even I am starting to think it may be 50/50.

Nevertheless, I still remain very sceptical about the players we've signed, outside Galbraith and Burgess. I'm still not convinced a different coach makes much difference on that front.

Burgess ? Scored two own goals for his former side. Sheehan is just clueless. His results last season look like the work of the midfield coach we let go and of course O’Brien.

I can’t but the “bad transfers” argument. We are even making Galbraith look average the way we are going at the moment

That's football, all about views and opinions.

The game is all about margins and this margins seem to be getting bigger and bigger against us in recent weeks.....not helped with us chopping and changing formations and players by the manager.

Interesting debate about comparing squads from last to this season.

We've lost Darling, LoB, MPH, Naughton, Joe Allen, Cooper from the regular players and some Fringe.

We have gained Widdel, Santos, Casey, Burgess, Smith, Stemenic, Galbraith, Yalcouye, Idah, Benson and Inoussa

I think we have a stronger squad than last season

What we do have is a Manager unable to pull it all together unless we think a number of these new players are not Championship standard.
