Adam Worth

Anyone who sports bets will tell you that yhe bookies are seldom wrong.
Their analytics people are sharp as hell - and if they make mistakes setting the market they are fired unceremoniously
If this is his background then i see it as a plus

Yeah, what a shame he doesn’t have a job at a bookies.

They are wrong all the time, its just a case that so are most of the punters boosting their coffers

Except when it comes to new manager odds for the Swans apparently.
Over the years they've been wrong just about every time.

It is more complicated than bookies being right or wrong. They are not making predictions, they are setting odds and balancing probabilities to ensure there is a profit margin either way. The skillset you would need to work there in some jobs, would lend itself very well to developing statistical models to help with recruitment as they should have a good bullshit detector to bad uses of data or statistics. Overall you would think his work as a tennis trader should have some crossover to football to be of use. I wonder if he will bring some people with better knowledge from the football side of the bookmakers to join him like with Brighton.
