Alan Sheehan on Blackburn Rovers | Press Conference

Jesus wept.
I was thinking that he could be there until the end of the season whilst we really look hard for a good new manager.
But, fuck me, how the fuck can he put drive and passion into the players. He couldn't inspire a suicidal lemming to jump off a cliff.

I think it's just a combination of his personality and playing as straight a bat as possible in this interview. I'm sure he's aware of the opportunity he has to make a good impression, maybe more so than last time. As they mentioned in the interview, he's since got his UEFA Pro License, so I'd say he's got ambitions to be a manager, so this is a great opportunity for him.

He's just trying a bit too hard to be cool and detached given the circumstances, but the result is he's coming across like a hostage video participant...And to be fair, how weird would it be if he was all super exited and smiles after his head coach got binned with the club dropping like a stone.
Yeah you make some good points to be fair, I’d be surprised if he was like that around the players for example.

I really don't think the questions did him any favours. Some of it was just stupid though...if we win it's down to the players...if we lose it's down to me. That simply can never be true, it makes no sense. Just him trying too hard to not be Willy. Anyway, give the bloke a chance, maybe he's different with the players.

He's had a charisma bypass but he was like that first time around so no surprise really.
Doesn't make him a bad coach so we'll see 🤷‍♂️

Fvck me, I bet he's a hoot at the office christmas party.
I was feeling alright until i watched that Jeez!😭

I'll be the exception and say that, yes he clearly doesn't like doing these interviews and also you an tell he had his thoughts on Williams but played it safe and not throw anyone under the bus. You may all not like his tone or whatever but the man was more honest than Williams ever was. Anyone who says blame me if we lose and not the players and vis versa is refreshing from what we had with Williams. I do think people are reading to much into this. Go and check out his other comments that wasn't in the video. I am not saying he is the person to lead us to success, but for a man who is in the middle of this mess give him a break.

From Wales Online:

But while he won't be drawn on suggestions he could be tempted to throw his hat in the ring, Sheehan admits a head coaching role is an ambition of his.

'' Is that in the script? Yes," he said. "But when the time is right.''

''I’ve had opportunities to do so, but I felt that this is the right club. My family live here. They’ve been here for over a year-and-a-half. We’re incredibly happy where we are. Hopefully we can find a way to make this club successful and that’s all I’m focused on right now.

"I’m not good talking about myself as you understand and I don’t think asking questions about Alan Sheehan is all that important. It’s about how we get Swansea City right."

Perhaps we are actually holding him hostage. He needed to put up a help me sign during that interview!

I thought we looked good under him last year, especially compared to the structure-less rubbish Duff served up.

I don’t mind his interview style either. He’s been given a hospital pass, but seems thoughtful and isn’t in any way arrogant. My main worry would be that he seems beaten by what’s happened. Even though he was part of it, he needs to move on with a fresh start and all that,

I believe him when he says he felt we all failed. He was being careful in what he was saying. Didn't throw the club or Williams under the bus. Again, it might mean nothing and we want results but I'll take this all day instead of Williams blaming others and not himself.
