Nonsense atm there will be no convo whatsoever at Swansea Towers about getting rid of AS
I’m not saying to sack him far from it he’s done a good job, but the performances aren’t encouraging and I’m just saying he isn’t going to be given the time Martin and Williams had in my opinion.

My take on it is that they probably gave Sheehan the job out of obligation given the way we finished last season. They really had no option but to do so.

Given the intent we've shown this summer, there has clearly been a plan and I'd be amazed if giving our previous coach the manager position was part of that plan.

Montague was the person to pick the manager at the time wasn’t he? We was heavily linked with Hellberg at the time but as you say I think Sheehan was given the job considering the results he got in temporary charge.

100% that's why he got it and he deservedly got it off the back of it.
The pressure is now on him so it's a different animal, he is has the job and the pressure is stronger on him now.

I did not mind him getting a go after last season. My worry is he has never really shown that he can coach a good attacking side and I am not sure if that is something you can just turn on.

He's pragmatic in the same sense as Cooper was here but he was lucky enough to have a match winner in Ayew.
We need defenders to defend and attacking players to play with shackles off......easier said than done but there is a sense that Sheehan wants his team to work harder than they need to win games when we have decent attacking players and the opposition are there for the taking.......like today when we went 1-0 up.

He’s doing a decent job with what he has imo. When you’ve got players who can’t thread a simple 10 yard pass (Ronald) or blast over from 8 yards out (Ronald again) or not get a shot off (Idah and others) there’s only so much he can do. It’s not great, but it’s better than under Williams and we’re just about making progress.

Far too much lazy Sheezy-sheeple thinking despite the obvious massive elephant looming large.

He’s been gifted riches of talent his limited talent can’t deal with - he’s been punching above his lowly glass ceiling and the pressure is now inevitably telling.

We need, we need deserve a manager befitting of the massively talented squad and the lofty expectations of proper fans and owners.

It’s a no brainer, in so many ways.

He’s not in the same league as Coops.

Coops is a proven winner - playing a brand of winning, effective, efficient and entertaining football.

Sheeezy is a simple #2 who’s achieved nothing and it’s now way beyond obvs to even the laziest of Sheeezy-sheeple that he is incapable of stepping up to Coops’ level.

We deserve far better.

Wasn’t a proven winner at Wembley! That performance stank.

Cooper was bog standard counterattacking, relying on a bit of quality from Ayew. He has had significant resources when in the championship and would have struggled without in my opinion. He did however, know how to coach a defence and we were experts at stifling opposition teams in his two seasons. Can’t say I ever looked forward to watching us under him though.

Cooper's football was far from entertaining here and he got lucky with us because he had Ayew in the team.

Let's not forget,Cooper was a youth team coach with no history or track record of senior first team coach.

I have always favoured a proactive person and don't ever feel comfortable with the pragmatic approach because it often covers up issues that can be found out down the line.
It's in Sheehan's hands and a he needs to change things otherwise we are going to become the draw experts in this league, hard to beat but not winning enough.

I'm slightly odd with Sheehan. I think nearly every single player has looked better under him, Vipotnik, Ronald, Key, Tymon in particular. But, at the same time, we've won twice this season and only against teams currently 23rd and 24th, whilst looking very limp against basically everyone, including a poor Hull and worse Watford

Why engage? He’s a ‘no brainer’.

I admit I slipped up a few posts back; his half grasped buzzwords drew me in. Won’t happen again. His new username will be along soon.

On topic, we all know Sheehan has a lot to prove, so let him prove it or he won’t last. To coin a phrase there will come a time where he needs to shit or get off the pot. 2 shots on target at home and 7 goals in 7 games won’t cut the mustard, and he will (must) know that.

He makes some good points regards Sheehan but he wants him gone.....it's now in his head, I'm ok with that and understand his thoughts on it.
