live and let live I say.......I think I am at that point.

Lajolla used to get on my wick but I think I'm getting a bit softer with his antics.....he might be mad, he might be on the wind up but I have learned that he seems to take others views without trying to force the issue that he is right and others wrong.
He adds to the forum, he's part of the forum so let's embrace it 🙈🤣

Don't you want to sign a poster on the out of contract list to replace him?
There must be a name on there that you fancy...

Agree with all of this.

The summer was very positive. Even if some of the signings don’t live up to expectations at least the squad looks more balanced than it has for years. However, the idea we’ve suddenly got a nailed on top 6 squad, if that’s what some think, is way OTT.

Sheehan is new to management and will obviously make mistakes (the subs yesterday as you mention), but there’s no way his job should be under threat after 5 league games, 8 points and 2 cup victories.

Pushing the playoff places until at least Easter would be great, but finishing anywhere from 8th-12th would be more than acceptable if some of the new players are ready to kick on the season after IMO.
His job won't be under threat at this stage but there will be people out there who are not convinced.
I think it's been a solid window but people have got carried away mainly because all we have had has been been poor windows since the last lot took over.......now we have had a decent window and people have got carried away.

8-12th without looking over our shoulder will do nicely this season. We have potential to do a bit more but there is alot to align for us to achieve something of note......not out of the question but not something that is being expectant in my view.

Funnily enough there hasn't been a post of out of contract players this season.....says a lot doesn't it.

I would say there are a few more underneath LaJolla in the pecking order 😂

Yep, definitely not out of the question we make top 6, but there’s at least 13/14 other clubs think the exact same thing!

Need luck with injuries still (as there’s a lot of unproven cover at the back) and some of the attacking players to have outstanding seasons - performances & number of goals/assists.

Will look at the league table and reassess at the 3rd international break in November.

Yes, defensively we seem to be a little weaker than in the other departments, I will get in the free agent list now 🤣

Late October/November seem to be sacking season so is the time when clubs assess their situation. I don't know what the club are expecting but if they are not being over expectant then I don't expect Sheehan to be close to that line.

The expectation from cunts is promotion or its failure.
If we’re still in The Championship next season is that a problem then?
It isn’t for me.
It’s not.

The issue is that football for many younger people has become all about the premier league or it’s not worth bothering.

Year after year in the championship and they lose interest. It’s why we can’t get crowds above 15 or 16k.

That’s ridiculous if there’s genuine Swans fans over the age of 18 that actually think that.

18 seasons and counting in the top two divisions is definitely good enough for me!

Aye, 73/74 season, had to go cap in hand for our football league survival. Could have gone the same way as Bradford Park Avenue or Workington Town. Some should think on.

Don't need to go that far back, 2003 was enough.
Petty nearly taking us to the cleaners a couple of years before.

Aside from relegation in 2018, since 2008(17 years) we have seen top 2 tier football.

I'm more than happy to be where we are. We have never known it as good.

WE're lacking that defensive cover, yeah.
But most importantly we're lacking a real 10 - we create fack all at the mo.

Either get a Dele 10, or deploy EG30 in that space.

WE did well when LOB played a front foot 8 - Galbraith could emulate that role, in a mock 10 - he has the heads-up vision and presence in tight spaces.
With MY8 driving, probing, covering in true box-box long distance runner mode; and Stam the Man anchoring in 6, orchestrating, pinging, linking.

We have the players, make it work Sheeeezy.....

73/74 is as harrowing for me as 2003 Daps, you had to be there, I did both. But yes, let the good times roll 🫶
