I have represented my country
that Hull game has gone, think everyone will learn from it, wednesday is a game to look forward to where we could cause an upset or go out with a wimper, its a chance for the head coach to come up against a top coach and a team in the prem that our players can prove they can compete or not as the case maybe, but for me the Brum game is the yard stick thats where the tacticks and players skill and effort MUST come to the foreToday's game can be the making of some teams. I didn't; see much of the game, I can only imagine the making of this squad of players and coaching staff.
We win as a team, we lose as a team. The Jacks are going Up![]()
Well done on whatever sport you represented your country in, but as Sham pointed out with the Gazza example, that means the square root of fuck all relative to your opinion on the Swans.I have represented my country![]()
Agree, Peter.that Hull game has gone, think everyone will learn from it, wednesday is a game to look forward to where we could cause an upset or go out with a wimper, its a chance for the head coach to come up against a top coach and a team in the prem that our players can prove they can compete or not as the case maybe, but for me the Brum game is the yard stick thats where the tacticks and players skill and effort MUST come to the fore
Or it could be the opposite. We're getting results without firing on all cylinders. What’s worrying to me isn’t just today’s performance but in all of the league games so far (except Sheffield Wednesday for obvious reasons) we haven’t created many chances.
Our XG is second lowest in the league at around 4 and we’ve scored 6. We won’t be able to out perform that all season long. I know not everyone likes stats but they are a good indicator of how a team performs generally and our attacking ones are currently quite poor.
Having said all this, there are a lot of new players in key areas and Stamenic coming back will free up Galbraith. Also nice to see VP and Ronald have good starts goal scoring wise and Inoussa now has 2 assists in 2.
I don’t think Sheehan is another Cooper, he doesn’t want to just defend and counter attack. From his interview after the game yesterday, it’s clear he wasn’t happy with the performance. Hopefully we see improvement in the attacking side soon.
There is always that angle too, we have been clinical which I think we missed at times last season. All in all we’re in a pretty decent place and for the most part we have a solid defence to build from.Or it could be the opposite. We're getting results without firing on all cylinders.
Can you imagine what could happen if and when we click?
It's a nice feeling to haveThere is always that angle too, we have been clinical which I think we missed at times last season. All in all we’re in a pretty decent place and for the most part we have a solid defence to build from.
We need to find the FlakeResults so far this season have been fine, probably better than most of us expected. But are we exciting or even for the most part entertaining? Not really. As much derision as he piles upon himself , Nottinghilllalolla hit the nail on the head when he described us as “vanilla”.
Your right day 1. From very first care taker interview, nearly everyone attacked him for his style in talking the works. People need to remember this is his first time coaching at this level or any level. He took us from relegation to getting us nearly to play offs with a shit team. Does he have his flaws or like certain players, yes. But I see a manager who is learning and a mind on and off the field we have had not had for years. He doesn't throw players under the team, he is honest and take about tactics and has a knack to improve untested players. Ronald, VP, Eom.... This is all opinions and if people are not a fan of him from the start then it will be hard to change their minds. Then so be it, they are aloud to that view. But not an opinion or view that means slamming Sheehan when we are improving. Yesterday is another game to learn from. On Wednesday, if we lose in sure he will learn again, and there will be meltdown. Some people have had it in for Sheehan since day one.
Never mind he kept us up with room to spare when we looked like a relegation team before he took over, never mind he's actually made us look like a professional football team again after 4 years of MartinWillyball, never mind we're a top 6 side in the points table since he took over, let's piss and whine that we don't look like Pep's Barca.
He's doing a really good job so far.
When you start agreeing with the local town idiot in Nottinghill - ala lolla... What ever the name then we have to worryResults so far this season have been fine, probably better than most of us expected. But are we exciting or even for the most part entertaining? Not really. As much derision as he piles upon himself , Nottinghilllalolla hit the nail on the head when he described us as “vanilla”.
