It's all been a bit steady Eddie which is disappointing after what was witnessed last season when he took over.

The reality is, we are doing ok but I have come away from games this season with a sense of frustration.

I feel that he needs to take the handbrake off, revert to a 4-2-3-1.....I think if he does this, we then see a few more 3pts and the football can be more entertaining.

It’s massively disappointing Daps, in lots of ways.

Proper Jacks like you must be pulling out their hair with the way beyond frustration at losing our identity, our edge, our pride in our innovative Ways on and off the pitch.

I'm not pulling my hair out, I have been frustrated in certain aspects.
It's a new squad and he's building a team that is primarily hard to play against and my hope is that in time the handbrake gets taken off as the players settle.

I want to see a better performance than the previous 7 league games. I don't want to see a good twenty minute spell where we look threatening followed by an awful 70 minutes where we can't buy an attempt on goal. We have to be more consistent over 90 minutes.

It's difficult to be consistent over a full 90 minutes.

Bit more adventure on the front foot with players not going for the safe option as much. Let's get the crosses in quicker and more shots off.

Solid defensively at set pieces and concentrated right up to the half and full time whistle.

It's been decent in many aspects but these are things that we need to improve on.

I get that and agree with you but doesn't mean its a given. I get the other posters concern although I think it's still early to be overly concerned over their suggestions.

Thing that makes me smile is the same fans, were quite patient when Russ went on his run of twenty odd games without a win.

The events of 90 minutes isn't going to decide anything on Sheehan. If we win 5-0, it doesn't prove myself and others backing him 'right' and vice versa if the result was reversed.

I agree JS . I am one of those in the not convinced Sheehan is the right man I didnt believe he shiuld have been appointed despite his remarkable job at the end if last season.
My opinion which varies to many Im sure has not come fr
om the results so far this season but from Sheehans approach to the pre season friendlies and his decision making re subs ,tactics and game management.
He claims he studies the opposition and picks the side and approach to counter them.

Look at the Watford game we all know Warford are a big physical side yet Sheehan started with Cullen up top ( arguement is he had the shirt) and Yalcouye in midfield. It was obvious during the first half we needed more physicallity with Yalcouye struggling in his first Championship game against a big physical Watford. It was calling out for changes half time but Sheehan waited before bringing on Stamenic to sort the midfield and longer to bring on Vip to replace Cullen who was outmuscled all game when we did we looked different gravy.
The Hull game has been much disscussed again timing of subs and then tactics caught us out...shift in shape to 4-4-2 Gaulbraith to full back Key into modfield and wingers dropped back into midfield and defwnding the lead..
At Burmingham we sat back to "win" the draw...yes a goal dissallowed but i suspect once we had gome ahead we woukd have set iut to defend the lead sometimes you have to go for it especially in this very competetive lead.
We always seem to start brightly have a good ooening 25 mins until the oppositin coaches tweak their side to nullify our threats whilst we continue to play as we started apart from wingers swopping sides for periods.
I like Sheehan as a person its not all about him in his interviews he doesnt throw the players under the bus....he has his favourites which will not help squad harmony and I want him to do well but Im not sure he has the attributes to be a no 1 ......
Its my opinion and I ve tried to explain why.
Yes we are in transition yet so are Middlesboro they have a new manager who was useless in his last job as well as new players all intergrating yet where do they stand in the league....yes still early days..but tonight will be Sheehans 26th league game in charge.
Hopefully he will start learning ...
