• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

To be fair it wouldn't be a bad move for either party and Dyche would be able to get a tune out of him.

I’ll be amazed if Everton sign him.

His team have a history of circulating rumours. If this is true Dyche is mad.

Ayew and Shelvey plus a few others to Forest. Cooper must be happy with his window of opportunity.

Forest already signed more players than they had squad spaces in the summer window, now they have signed another 6 or 7 in January with no one sent back. Its almost as crazy a transfer policy as we have and thats saying something.

Heard the commentator in their second leg against Man United the other night talking about all their signings and the link to Ayew, saying something along the lines of 'at least they're having a go at staying in the PL'. Compared them negatively to the likes of Norwich.

No mention of the likes of us, Brentford, Fulham this season (having previously been a yo-yo club). It is possible to get promoted and stay there without signing 30 players, if you have a good manager, or shrewd transfer dealings, or a style of football executed well, etc.

Acting as if spending ridiculous amounts of money on a silly amount of players is the only way to 'have a go' at staying the sunlit uplands of the PL pretty much sums up modern football. Good for Forest and Cooper if it works, but it's hardly the only approach a club can take.
