He's having his ass handed to him in the second round. Two sets down. If he claws this back this will be hugely impressive.

One more Wimbledon and then retire I expect
He has comeback well but with that hip problem he is never going to get anywhere near his best

Yep, quite agree, he doesn't want to take to many beatings like that in the future.

In a different era he'd be retiring with seven or eight slams in his locker. Maybe more. Sheer bad luck to be in his prime at the same time as statistically the top three mens players in history.

Dont know about seven or eight but no doubt he would have won more, great player.

Yes, he can be very proud of his career, the only one who could play on the same level as fed, djok and Nadal, del Porto and wawa did sometimes but not like Murray did over consistent years

Players like Agassi, Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl ended up with Eight slams. You look higher on the list and find Borg and Sampras. Great players but vastly better than Murray in his prime?

If he'd had the same level of competition as Sampras did for most of his career then I don't think seven or eight would have been beyond him considering he managed three against Nadal, Djokovic and Federer.
