• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Probably depends what you define as major.

Rush.

Bale

Giggs

Had it in my head that Rush would have won a couple of trophies at Juve.

He only lasted one season there I think. It was too foreign for him and his tache didn’t get on with the climate.

People are too thick to separate Ryan Giggs scummy personal life from his football career.
You don’t win the trophies he’s won and not deserve a mention and yes he is a scummy twat.

Giggs was in one of the most talented Wales sides of a generation and didn’t do anything with them.

Charles and Bale almost single handed dragged Wales to success.

Giggs was neither bothered or capable to do that.

I havent watched enough of Charles to make a judgement for myself… but that Bale performance against Inter Milan has got to be one the best individual performances by a player of all time.

I completely agree but I was getting at the fact Giggs is probably the most decorated British player of all time.

When he was asked about his time there, didnt he say ‘it was like a foreign country’?

Thank you Gareth, not only Welsh GOAT but British GOAT

I'm not quite sure why so many news stories I'm reading about Bale say that his retirement has 'shocked the football world'.

I thought it was pretty much universal opinion in football that playing in the World Cup was all he was waiting to check off his football bucket list. No offence to the MLS, but that move was clearly about building match fitness for Qatar rather than because he wanted to keep playing at a high level.

Better to retire early than lose your place at your team and have to slink off to a pub league for millions of pounds when no-one else wants you, eh Cristiano?

Should have retired a few years ago. He was crap last year. Can’t blame him for milking it though. I wonder if he will go and watch the slap heads now?
