He has messed up things for Arabs and Palestinians as long as he has been in politics. He has initiated this to keep the war going to stay in power. The protests by the Israeli people were weakening him and as already said Putin and Bibi are war criminals.

Interesting to see what Iran does here. They seem very hesitant to do anything. Israel eviscerated Hamas in Gaza and they didn't do anything. At the time there was talk of Hezbolllah being a different escalation entirely, how Israel should tread carefully there as Hezbolllah is a major fighting force to be reckoned with. Well, Israel just sparked them out in a week without breaking sweat, and Iran does nothing.

Was the idea of Iran being the big bad bogeyman all bullsh*t? Israel's spent the past year dismantling their proxies in Hamas and Hezbollah and they've done nothing. Are they building up to some major response, or was it all a bluff and they've never been capable of fighting Israel directly or indirectly? The threat of the US stepping in if they try anything is probably a major factor too.

At the moment is looks like Isreal has free reign to do anything they want and no-one is going to stop them.
