• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I don’t blame the club for any of this. If they distance themselves their silence condemns then, if they speak out against it they’re bringing it in house. SWP should have dealt with it as a breach of lockdown restrictions and these people should have then been investigated and exposed for what they are. They consider themselves ‘media’ and the ‘Voice of Wales’ so let’s hear all about them, their backgrounds, their lives, after all they’re legit public figures, aren’t they?

Great call from Rhodri. Both club and Trust should be speaking out against these scum. Silence isn’t an option.

Just caught up and listened now, great call and great credit to Rhodri for ringing in and speaking out

He also said there are people lurking after games ie right wing activists, which of course is a load of nonsense.

I have seen many Asians at the Liberty over the years especially when KI played for the club, and never witnessed any of them revive any racism.

Also without any doubt whatsoever, it is extremely safe to go to the Liberty, regardless of being black or white, and the picture that was painted on the radio last night, is one that simply doesn’t exist at the Liberty.

What a passionate and heartfelt/breaking and brave call. Rhodri's wife and daughter should feel very proud of him, and as a Swans fan I'm sad to say I can't disagree with him at all. Even though the protesters are probably not actual fans, it's not the point. There is an element of institutionalised racism amongst our, and probably every other club's "fans", and these protesters feel that they will gain support from such "fans". That, and the publicity, is why they're there. Racism in the stands is in the small minority, but it's there - we all know it, most of us do nothing, The very fact that we see/hear abuse or comments occasionally, tells us "we" (and I include the club) have done little about it. I've reported issues to the stewards in the past, sometimes things are done (and even then it's just a word), most times it's avoided like the plague. Michael Holding articulated what needs to be done beautifully earlier in the year - we all have a responsibility - it starts with all of us, not just the club or authorities.

Edit: many thanks Dicky for bringing this to everyone's attention.

Perhaps you should spend a day in an Asian/Black persons shoes and see what it’s like. You’d soon change your mind.

Don’t tell me you hear and see racism at the Liberty all the time.

Well said Rhodri. A brave call to make, but hugely important this is flagged up so appropriate steps can be made.

It doesn’t matter if it’s all the time or just once, racism is unacceptable and must not be tolerated.

So what action have you taken in regards to the anti English racism at the Liberty.

I wouldn't expect anything else from you. On the whole it is safe and the majority of people are tidy, but if one out of a crowd of 25,000 isn't then it's one too many, so it aint nonsense.

What anti-English racism have you seen at the Liberty then?

I see the police f*cked them off from the ground yesterday, and knocked on two of their doors and told them they'd be fined if they turned up yesterday.

They are tamping
