Cinema & Co reject Covid passports

I’m thinking I’m going to the flix next week to see the new Spider-Man film but if I wanted to see it in her gaff I’d probably have to wait till about 2028.

It's good to see the law being upheld for once.
We al know that person who goes round saying " i won't be doing that, I'll do what I want"
Well do what you want but face the consequences and punishments.

"If a person states they are exempt from wearing a mask, that will be respected by Cinema Co and no questions will be asked. If a person presents without a Covid passport, they will be simply asked if they have an up to date lateral flow test. If the individual say they are legally exempt from this, that will be respected, they will not be asked further questions and they will be admitted to Cinema and Co. That’s the law, which I will take full advice."

So she is now telling her potential customers to just say those things, whether true or not, and it's in you go.

This is genuinely bonkers. You cannot be "exempt" from showing an up to date lateral flow test, unless you are vaccinated. The problem she now has is that for the next nine months, she is at the council's mercy. So participating in a press conference outside the MAGS with that pork pie from Voice of Wales in which you implicitly say you won't follow the rules is just inviting a sting operation by the Council. It just takes an enforcement agent to go to Cinema & Co with a hidden camera, and say I am exempt from wearing a mask, showing a COVID pass, and giving you proof of a negative test result, and her waving them through, to land her back in the Courts. She'll get another whopper of a fine and will actually go to prison.

I did laugh how Neil McEvoy was there as a "Paralegal" today. He has no legal qualifications, nor one iota of legal knowledge. He was a Teacher before he became a politician. Granted, his sex pest barrister mate (see https://www.tbtas.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/hearings/727/Outcome-Posting-Edwards-amended1.pdf - all true), Jonathan Edwards is a practicing barrister, so likely explained to her that she had been fed utter tosh by the anonymous siren voices on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and was facing a £30,000 fine and a prison sentence. Isn't it incredible how quickly someone with such strong principles decides to drop them to avoid a month in the slammer?

Nice to see she's going to use part of the £61,000 donations ... "to take her family on holiday"

Serves the mugs right who donated to her.

Hope she blows it all on coke and strippers.

"She said an online crowdfunding campaign which had been set up by someone with known links to the far right had been established and run without Redfern's authority, though she accepted her client had accepted £55,000 in donations from the fund..."

As you do

Interesting read, she’s picked up £167k between Covid loans and the crowd funding, the company is paying her £736 for working at Cinema and Co via BACS, but there are no corresponding credit transactions listed in any accounts disclosed to the Court!!!! This could get interesting.

Walesonline reporting Ms Redfern failed to comply with the financial disclosure, sacked her legal team and has now decided to withdraw her appeal. I wonder why? She’s also picked up nearly £9k in costs - unlucky!!!

Good, but other than donations from useful Covidiots, how the hell does this place make any money?

Who is paying to go and watch old films in a place that looks rustic at best while sitting on wooden pallets? For example, you could pay £12pp tonight to watch The Dark Knight Rises (a film released 10 years ago and available on DVD or streaming for under £4) while eating takeaway pizza from the Hafod. One of the strangest business models I've ever seen.
