• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I'm interested to hear what your favourite coffee of choice is.
I love the smell and haven't really got into it

A Costa Latte occasionally does my Coffee needs, my daily brew of Tesco's finest English Breakfast Tea does my daily needs, :D

These in Aldi are great value. 60p and comes in a range of flavours. A fifth of the cost of Starbucks versions and better tasting too

You like it that much you've said it twice

Went to Borough Market years ago and the queue for Monmouth Coffee shop was down the street. Anyway, the mrs started a food kiosk in a country park and we started selling filter coffee and only filter coffee. I wanted to sell the best coffee and tried loads and settled on Columbian Supremo from Costco. One guy had 4 one day, said it was the best coffee ever. Some wouldn't even try it and wanted Nescafe. Went back to Borough Market and I thought ours was better. Job done.
Then we had to invest in a coffee machine due to people wanting flat whites and lattes and used Lavazza beans but been drinking Honduran lately which has been good.

Best tip is coffee boiled is coffee spoiled. Give the kettle a minute to cool and if you have to use Nescafe or similar, two scoops and lots of milk, jobs a good'un.

Bog standard Nescafe out of a jar.

One a day, and only when I'm working.

Nescafe cappuccino gold , and only if it's on offer for less than £1.80 for an 8 sachet box. Some of these coffee shops have got very rich with people willing to pay stupid money for a cup of coffee and a piece of overpriced cake or biscuits. Take a walk through the Uplands most days of the week , people falling into costa and other coffee shops at 8.30 in the morning for their morning fix. Make it in the house before you leave home and save yourself a fortune.

Perhaps said people just want to get out and socialise a little before work, you might even learn that they all actually enjoy it? A couple of quid for a coffee vs being a miserable git and "making your own" ... 🤔😁
