That's it they don't see the player we all see week in week out. Let's face it, if he was all that he would be in the Premier league. Top players, are consistent or can change a game in an instant. Grimes will perform one week and shit the next. No doubt his stats will go down well at Coventry, but people are kidding themselves if they think he will become a goal scorer or a forward passer. Coaching or not, he takes easy way out and that's always by the same foot. He's bit like Zoolander. Only can turn in one direction and on one foot.

No doubt he'll he played in a much more advanced position.

For all Lampard's faults, there shouldn't be anyone better to recognise a good midfielder. Problem is that Grimes would never reach his potential here whilst we had a continuous run of tippy, tappy, possession desperate managers.

So it's bittersweet really. Bitter that he's leaving and will probably do a better job elsewhere but sweet for us that we won't have a scared pussy hiding behind the centre halves when trying to build attacks.

I've said it all along. Under Potter and the first part of Martin he was great. He was the man for free kicks, incisive passing, going forwards. Then, at some point, he got put back. Since then he has continually regressed to becoming the Williams Centre back, lazy, tippy tappy model.
He is arrogant which has been helped by the media and managers praising him. He is disliked by the players and is as much use as a captain as a mute.
He needs to go elsewhere unless a new manager comes in and rips up this playing model.
I personally hope Williams goes and Matty goes.

Fulton needs a good manager or coaching staff to fix him. He does show moments of brilliance before disappearing for another 10 games!
