Uefa gives ‘reluctant’ approval for domestic games to be played abroad this season

Governing body still insists go-ahead for two matches is ‘exceptional’ and says it is opposed to the idea in general

Said while setting a very clear precedent.

Floodgates are now opened. I give it no more than 5 years before a Premier League game is played somewhere like China or Malaysia.

Pure greed. Plain and simple.
