• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I just don’t get that daps. What money are you on about? The investment from Cravatt and Morris?

The initial down payment for Whittaker and Martin and his team........what was put to me, it's not like a bank transfer between you and a mate, process takes a few weeks given the amount 🤷‍♂️

We have hardly put any money down for Yates, Joseph going the other way was a juggle for that.......so I was told but makes perfect sense.

Put it this way Risc, if Piroe wasn't in his last 12 months then we could easily have seen a summer of player arrivals without anyone leaving for any cash fee.

Stop, now.

Backoftheclass, always.

I know the club are watching 😉

We won’t be, hence why cash flow isn’t a problem.

We can (and usually do) loan money against incoming amortised payments and then pay in instalments, we never have ‘to wait for money to hit the account’ - it’s a laughable suggestion, football doesn’t work like that.

The investment hasn’t been reported or listed due to the window and ongoing discussions with other clubs, but it’s certainly materialised.

Yes we did that with the Rodon money. But we haven't for any recent transfers that I'm aware of.

If it hasn't been listed but has materialised, surely the club is going to be well out of compliance by not declaring it by the time the window closes?

My goodness

If you knew how much money has been invested into the club (and you will after the window) - you will realise how laughable this is.

We haven’t done it this time because we don’t need to, tells you all you need to know about this silly rumour.

We are well within our rights to not reveal how much money we have available until our transfer dealings are complete.

It will be listed and reported shortly, just as Morris’ investment was.

What is the window allowed between receiving investment and declaring it then?

This is money from completely new sources too (whom have been publicly named by the club as directors) so not sure how easy or legal it is to hide that money if indeed it is already in the clubs bank account?

Seems a bit dodgy that we'd be openly spending money that hasn't been declared months before we are going to declare it?

Which tallies to the last paragraph in my post that you replied to 🤷‍♂️

I couldn’t tell you. But we wouldn’t be doing anything outside of compliance. Nothing is being hidden, it’s being delayed for very good reason.

How in any way does what ‘tally’ with what you said?

We have a lot of investment into the club, an amount that dwarfs an initial instalment on Russ and his team - hence we haven’t needed to borrow against these petty sums.

What you have said makes no sense and will be confirmed when the listing is made.

Is the theory that we want to appear poorer than we are as we think it'll improve our negotiating position?

Not appear poor as such, but not reveal what we have to play with until we have to. It isn’t just clubs we have to negotiate with, it’s agents too.

Since Coventry sold Gyokeres they have been getting stung all over the place. There is a reason they ended up winning the Simms deal, they paid through the nose for him, in all aspects.
