Just drove to and back from the gym along 20mph roads.

I'm pleased to report that i didn't encounter any carnage in either direction. Timewise, didn't notice any difference in travel time.

That can’t be right. I’m told the world will stop spinning on its axis and people will leave Wales in their droves.

I'm going to risk it again now, coupled with visiting three different supermarkets. Carnage on the roads, carnage at the tills, I'm going to have to brace myself for this one.

Whilst out walking the dog this morning around Tycoch most cars were probably doing nearer 40mph than 20 to be honest.

My experience of this morning is lots of folk driving at 26 mph

Second part of the report.

Driving, most or the large majority of people abiding by the new limit, very few rebels on the road this morning. Fuel consumption, no difference. What was very noticeable mind, was it is far easier to pull out from a side road onto a main road, plenty more time in between cars to get out. Must take into account it's a Sunday and not a busy time.

Receipts, the young lady in Lidl gave me a choice of receipt or not, I politely declined. Tesco self service till, spat the receipt out without asking me whether I wanted one or not, and the young lady in B&M didn't give me the choice, she just printed it out (I politely refused to take it). Bit of a mixed bag really.

Blimey! With the exception of B&M your morning has been the same as mine.
I'm about to have a fried egg on toast, you?

I’ve got to drive from Penllergaer to Gorseinon in about 45 minutes. Should I leave earlier?

That's mostly downhill. Cycle down.

Ha, no I'm having steak, mushrooms and tiger bread.

Was in B&M for their Himalayan sea salt.

No, go normal time.

A 45 minute run will be another good measure for the carnagability of the new limit. Unless you're a rebel of course
