As if social services in this area aren't struggling enough...

Fair play Phil, hell of a shift. So much history to this place and its forebears, and played such a critical role in mobilising the fans to ensure the very existence of our club in its time of need.

Been an age since I've posted on here regularly (and even longer since I've lived in the place where I took my username from), but this place has played a massive role in my life. Made some lifelong friends, fallen out with a similar number (if not more), but pretty much the soundtrack to my 2000's and 2010s. So many mornings, afternoons and nights. It's also largely your fault I got involved in the Trust, so yeah thanks for that, although an absolute pleasure to get to know you better though that whole palaver.

Oh, and the invasions! How could I forget the invasions.

Enjoy retirement old chap. I give it a year 😉

I can’t really add much more to what others have more eloquently posted.

Think I joined around 2005 originally and have been more of a lurker than contributor over all. It’s the first and 9 times out of 10, also the last place I check for Swans news.

Thanks for all your efforts over the years Phil. It’s been a pleasure using this site. Also thanks to all the others that have helped run and contribute throughout the years - notably JackHarris for all the match day threads.

Anyway, now to do today’s Wordle……

Sorry to see the site going, so firstly thank you Phil for all the hard work over the years and I wish nothing but the best for future endeavours. Think I've been around since about 199 something in whatever guise the site has been, been some memorable threads , espoecially the friday night club various crazy poster. One of my favourites was adding a few posting to the T*******rs dead whilst celebrating with a lot of drinks, think that one had over a 100 pages😂😂😂 I was howling that night.
Met several posters from here and have become friends for a number of years.
Lisa has mentioned several memories and another one of the biggest was Paltalk, ok strictly not on here but we did always post that the room was open, several times we would get over a 100 people listening in and me putting the shits up people screaming wildly down the mic when we scored 😂😂 pre game and half time music, quiz questions and raiding the pompey room and all getting barred.
So all in all sorry to see it go, catch all around and about

The paltalk game I’ll always remember is the Rochdale game before THAT Hull game.

After the heartache of Exeter at home that was the game that changed everything.

Like others have said, its a sad thing the site is shutting down. Its my only online source of information for the swans.

It always brings some funny comments and a wide range of opinions on everything involved with the club.

I check this forum daily and during transfer windows and manager hunts I check it multiple times a day.
Ill 100% miss the matchday threads!

Since the original planet swans days I probably been perusing these threads for the last 15 years. So its definitely going to leave a hole!

Thanks for everything you've put into it the last 25 years.

What a sad day! My lad rang me this evening to tell me the news that Phil was hanging up his boots and that the site, and forums would be no more. I'm gutted to be honest and I hope someone does decide to take the helm!

I echo my thanks to jackharris for the excellent match day threads, stevethejack for the TV info, and most importantly Phil for his outstanding stewardship; you are a legend my friend!

Truly, the end of an era. Goodbye and good luck to one and all.

Paltalk was one of the best things about being a Jack before we started getting live games. If we could have had a live version it would have surpassed it but it was one of the only ways many from distance could get to listen to the games back then. Excellent times and even when we were crap the camaraderie made up for the result. Even made friends with some pompey fans :)
