• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Hi Nancy Watcher (great name by the way!)

Tricky question to be accurate with. Currently Jason and Steve have things running smoothly so I'll be building things up to something reasonable given all my other commitments.
Best
Jake.

Jase and Steve are doing fuck all, birch is running it for the shysters. now why dont you fuck off back to the scummers board you cunt.

The job of the CEO is to run things smoothly on behalf of the owners.
You literally sagged him ff for doing his job.

"we should note that the proposal referred to a loan to the football club, which could potentially be converted into shares at a future date".

Please could the trust confirm if any shares has been transferred to Jake Silverstein. The reason why I am asking is because the article on BBC says different.

No, shares have not been transferred because ether were none on sale.
He has provided a loan which may be repaid through the creation of additional shares which will be up to him to decide. I take it the offer of repayment or shares in lieu is for future discussions.
We have secured a loan necessary to get us through a slump in income.
From the sound of it the Trust weren't at the table when anyone signed but they had been aware of the situation for a couple of months.

Eh?

I'm sure I posted that birch is running the club for the shysters🤔

You sagged him off mun.

I’m assuming this is essentially a share creation/sale. However, given the current legal situation between the American consortium and the Trust, I’m assuming that it wasn’t possible and/or advisable on the part of the new lendor.

What I can’t quite understand is how giving a loan to the club translates to a board seat. If I loan the club £5m can I have a seat? Was an additional seat created or is he replacing someone?

No one else wanted the club even in the PL.
Talk of local ownership will, IMO, see us back struggling for league survival and turn us back into an amateur shambles - we got lucky for a few years under Jenkins but he and other realised that couldn't continue..
IMO the Americans came in and steadied the club financially.

Crazy thing is you probably believe that's the truth.

That was my earlier point; first it was "the Trust blocked sales" and now it's "nobody wanted to buy us". Am I missing something here?

Yeah, that'll be it.

Have you been watered this week or have Huw, Leigh and co. been too busy?

Huw Jenkins has gone.

IMO the Americans came in and steadied the club financially. I realise that upset people who wanted the selling shareholders to give their money to the Swans and the Americans (only the American though - not all shareholders) to pump £billions in to Swansea City. It was, is and never will happen.
What is the point of constantly banging on about something that has happened and you will not alter?
This latest addition to the shareholding group is being slaughtered and for what reason? Because some fans want local ownership! Then put a consortium together to buy the club.
Owners who are going to put their money into the Swans - like happens in his many other clubs?
I want the Swans to be there.
I want the Swans to be successful - for older fans the second tier is success.
To be in the PL - if we can sustain the club in doing so.
To be financially secure (as much as any club can be).
We got to the Premier League and were fairly success there on pennies (comparatively) and it went sour when we appointed Monk, failed to get singings and overspent because we puffed our chests and thought we Billy Bigballs.
What exactly do you want ... other than to moan?

Make up your mind.

In one post you say he hasn’t bought shares, in another you describe him as an addition to the shareholding group.

I’d love to know, by the way, why you feel so confident that this deal has been discussed for a few months - a claim you’ve repeated on here and the other site. Surely you’re not being fed commercially sensitive information? Is that what you’re saying? Someone is telling you things that are private and confidential? Are they badlands? Who? Who is unable to keep their mouth shut about confidential information?

Tell us.

He hasn't bought shares as none are available - he has been added to a group that hold existing shares.
Just the same as eh Trust adding a member to The Trust ... no more shares but one extra member.
Come on LL there are far more obvious things to slag me off about than that.
