• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Still think we have a decent striker in Vip who just doesn’t get any service at all. Made a half decent chance with a nothing pass today, the rest I agree 100% with
He’s the one signing that I don’t think is poor.
*possibly because he’s not getting the chance to prove it.

Celtic's Luis Palma, once tentatively linked to us a few weeks ago, has gone out on loan to Olympiacos.
Thank fuk he's worse than Ronald 😂👍

Interesting to hear Luke talking about lack of Championship experience. He’s right. Our overseas signings except Franco have been poor. He’s also talking about the physical challenges of playing regularly and dealing with heavy pitches. Again, correct.

Why did we not take any of these obvious points into consideration in our scouting?

Because he had very little say in it.

Well, we need more than f*cking rumours now. Need minimum 2-3 quality bodies through the door by Monday night.

Sorry but I'm not buying that. Cabango, tymon, darling, Allen, Naughton, Fulton, cooper, cullen, Christie all have loads of experience.

Key and vig vastly experienced in league 1 too with similar schedules

I got sucked into the hype around summer signings and was willing to believe “being clever in overseas markets” was the way forward.
Bloody YouTube

Ronald came in a year ago with no Championship experience and looked like a fine signing until Williams coached it out of him. He was through on goal in the second half and while I appreciate he was a little wide, he played a nothing ball across the box rather than taking the shot, no confidence there at all.

This squad is poor, no doubt. But a good manager should be able to find a way to play to what strengths the players do have, at least sporadically. We don't do that with Williams because he clearly has one plan only and barely deviates from it ever.

Roughly 50 hours until the window shuts.

Does Coleman have the wherewithal to get the deals needed over the line? Doubt it.
