• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Which is why expected assists is a more useful stat as it factors in the probability of the goal being scored. Tymon has the best expected assists tally in the league, ahead of the highly acclaimed Azaz, Doak, Hamer and Chakvetadze.
How does he fare on ‘actual’ assists?

I wish people would stop using modern day babble of "stats". This is the information that has got us the crap we have to endure at present. Who remembers the good old days before "assists". What a load of bollocks that word is. You get an "assist" for a two yard sideways pass for someone to score from 35 yards. It's total bullshit.
Some people are obsessed with them apart from the ones that actually count.

Goals for and against.

Doak would walk in to our team and plenty in the premier league. I can't say the same Tymon.

The only stat that works in favor of Tymon is he's the best of an awful bunch of left backs in our squad.

Cracking player young Ben Doak, Liverpool pinched him off Celtic for peanuts 18 months ago 🤬

The lad certainly seems to have a bright future ahead of him.

Just had a Quick Look and they paid 600k for him which looks like an absolute steal.

3 assists, joint 31st. Ronald's 6 assists is joint 3rd.
So Tymon has the best expected assists tally in the league,
But the reality is that he’s the 31st best.

So the expected assist telly is bullshit.

Or alternatively, our strikers have missed too many good chances that Tymon has helped to provide. I’m thinking of a few good header chances that Vip and Bianchini have missed from Tymon crosses. Not arguing for Tymon’s defensive contribution, where there are many shortcomings, but his attacking contribution is ok in my view. If we had another left back I would be tempted just to use him as a winger.

He's not the quickest player, can't see him working as a winger.

I'd be tempted to ask him just to concentrate on his primary job and defend.

Don’t you think our players not taking chances would seriously affect the expected assists tally?
If we had Haaland and Salah up front, then yes our players would have strong assist figures as they would take more chances. But we don’t.
So why is he top of a list of expected assists in the league? It’s just nonsense. And it certainly isn’t accurate in anyway whatsoever.
