• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I wonder what the club said to him about his family.

Did they tell him they would be provided with first class accommodation in Blaenymaes.

Maybe I'm Bias.. Well I defo am 😂😂. But putting money aside. I think Hellberg is missing a trick with us. Yes we have had a few recent managers that have flopped, but has there been a team at our level that has performed the stepping stone for managers. Cooper, Potter, Martin, Rodgers, Martinez withing what the last 20 years? Boro May have more money but we are a club that has taken risks and given managers opportunities. Money talks I suppose..

I don't think he'll be bothered about managers who were here 15-20 years ago.

Boro have produced two England managers in the last 25 years plus a couple of others who have had decent careers.

We've been crap for years. We are going to have to gamble on a manager because they'll certainly be gambling on us

If I had no association with Swansea, I’d choose Boro.

Then I’d see the utter shithole, and think about 3 cliffs 😆

Here is one for all you conspiracy theorists, maybe the club didn't give O'Dea the boot cos they knew they would struggle to gat anybody over the line this side of Xmas.

Maybe it was just leaving options open and thinking such scenario could happen, so if this is the case then fair play they didn't get rid even though we don't really want him as the coach at present time. Maybe it will be an interesting sick experiment now to see how he sets up on Saturday.

That we offered an untried manager what we thought he was worth, and he accepted it? Then we’re gazumped. Just like buying a house. There’s no way ‘a user on Reddit’ knows the terms of anything. His family will not be moved before the year end anyway. That’s just bollocks.

Move on. Plenty more houses around.
well i agree but in my opinion, our people would have been told at least yesterday sometime he was not coming so where are we on the next name on the list and who is it?
the last person was not the only one on our radar suerly but we need to move and quickly as we have a VERY importzant game com ing up with no one at the helm

Regardless of who the bloke was, it's annoying that the club has clearly invested a lot of time and resources in the pursuit and ended up with nothing a few days before our next league game 🤬

Tbh I think O'Dea has been a big part of the problem, every in-match clip you ever saw of AS, had O'Dea in his ear an either AS just ignored him or took his advice, ending up in the situation we now find ourselves
