We're not going up, bookmark it.

When we needed to show initiative and go at them from minute one, we decided to play with the handbrake on and abandoned all angles for passes and generally lumped it anywhere, Wycombe were there for the taking in the first half and Cooper decided to stifle us and concentrate on shape against the weakest team in the league.

Whatever happens this season we've got to consider his managerial position, but it's very unlikely the board will get rid, he's here to stay unfortunately, imagine this football in the Prem, I shudder at the thought

Should we not go up, next season is going to be infinitely more difficult than this one,

The three teams coming down are a pretty safe bet to be challenging towards the top, not to mention the necessary budgeting we will need to do, and with all those circumstances in consideration, where in the table should our ambitions be?

I don't see the point in getting rid of Cooper.

I’m all for facing facts, what you have just said is not a fact, it’s your opinion.

Is the general standard in the Championship poor, absolutely, would I dismiss our chances of gaining promotion to the Premier league, absolutely not.
Make of this what you will...

Is this team ready for the step up? Absolutely not. Could they go up? Absolutely. People were saying it was over before today. But had we won, we'd be within four points. Watford are by no means certain to beat Norwich, Millwall, Brentford and us. Brentford are quickly turning into draw specialists and their form suggests their no better than us.

Having said that, there's every chance we could fall flat on our arses against QPR this week. But six points is not insurmountable going by Watford's fixtures and their mixed form against top half teams, and the fact we're facing them ourselves.

It's probably over, but as the question marks above suggest it is by no means a fact that we're not finishing second.

We'll get hammered in the play offs. Lose players over the summer.
League 1 within 3 years.

Shambles.

We have been working with restrictions due to financial constraints following relegation and the loss of significant experienced players, we have been top 6 virtually all season, on our day we can beat anyone despite having a large number of young or inexperienced players.

Those players are mentally and physically drained, Cooper has done an outstanding job considering all those things.

So many people on here looking to blame Cooper and the players for us being in third place and heading for the playoffs. This time last year we were delighted to sneak into the playoffs.

In reality we should be pleased that we are in top half never mind top 6.

Boll@cks... there’s plenty of quality in this squad. Easily top 6.

What I’m more annoyed about is the style of play.

This is the most likely scenario, but we've got a chance to go up, Cooper is a typical shape, stifle and nick a goal manager, he stifles all joy and ambition out of his sides.. he's gone into this shell of fear when going into games, the first 23 games this season we rarely played with this insipid fearful approach.. it's like he's seen the table and thought oh f*ck, we might have a chance of gaining promotion, let's play tournament football.. he's drilling us like it's a knockout tournament, and he's probably believing this is the way to go, but over a course of a season the football is quite clearly unsustainable, we have no "identity" or "philosophy"

It's all about maintaining shape and when we are pressed into a forward manoeuvre, we're hoping to nick something. And these lumps up the pitch to our forwards who rely on technical ability, not robustness quite clearly show where he needs to identify an obvious error.. Routledge, Lowe and Cullen rely on flair, but he coaches it out of them because of the rather weak shape we've been dishing out over a good 15 game spell

We're 10th on the wage bill, so top 10 is where we are at, with expectation level.. when Ayew leaves we'll be 13th or 14th on the list, but we're not counting our loan fees of Guehi, Hourihane, Gibbs-White, Gyokores, Palmer.. so top 6 is a minimum including loan players

We don't bully teams or perhaps I mean dominate. We seem a bit clueless against the lesser sides.
We maybe lack knowledge?
Very frustrating

It's not knowledge, we lack fluidity, flair and in-game patience over this last 15 game spell

TBH your lot are probably pleased to be away from relegation and maybe a tad disappointed you couldn't maintain that form to get into the play offs.
We have been top six all season, and for much of that challenging for top two.
The change in fortunes for us over the last 15 or so games is very frustrating. The fact we could still make automatic shows what we would have achieved with a few wins here and there.
I understand our fans frustration, but some are just glass empty. Truth is considering our financial constraints we have done really well and could still get promoted whether through playoffs or automatic.
No pleasing some fans
